I invested in them partially because I had so many burst pots and it was taking up my limited unit inventory. I would make sure to save enough to invest in Rikku whenever she comes.
But my logic for Wilhelm investment is that his new buff helps LB filling, and given his high base DEF a 74% def buff is substantial. Furthermore he has significant buff capabilities now in GL; He can now buff ATK/MAG and DEF/SPR (which will go to 70% eventually with ability enhancements).
He obviously isn't going to be a strong buffer like Ramza, but between turns he should fill that role without taking up a slot and doing nothing but sing.

Thanks man! I'm more than okay getting a 3rd of her for sure. She is one of 4 base 5s I am cool with getting more of. (Queen, Ramza, Greg and Olive) I still find her TM to be more desirable than Shine because of non hybrid magic damage when evade does nothing. Having said all that I may use a few more tickets for Will but no multis at all I don't feel like in the end I will truly need him in a sense that I will get stuck without him and let's be honest I will pull his ass off banner when I chase OK, Tidus or Veritas later anyway.

Man the luck this place has, good lord, all I'm doing is one daily. Got 50 plus tickets saved up and they ain't going anywhere.
I think it's two factors:
1) People post exciting pulls, so when people get a rainbow on their daily or first few tickets, they want to post it, while a 10+1 with Vanille and Bedile's island of misfit blues doesn't get posted as often
2) You notice more when someone posts a rainbow daily than when someone posts about doing a 10+1 and gets nothing useful.
I pulled a couple tickets, got a Shadow and Alma.

Ok im convinced. Used up all my Mid Burst pots and managed to max his 5* form LB. lvl20 should be good enough. Still have 2 King Burst for Rikku.
Desire sensor in full effect.
Nobody wanted Type-0, trash banner and all that, resulting in half of GAF getting Rem.

I bought all the Black/Power/Support ones personally. Going to probably get all 3 Purecrysts also. Fuck it.
I haven't seen any really thorough, so this'll be hand-wavey and I'm rusty on statistics.
People say it's ~2% chance to get a Giancryst, but then (I'm guessing) it's a 50% chance it's the one you want since there are two varieties in Wise. With a 1% chance to get one, you can expect to run it ~100 times* to get a Support one or ~1500 energy. That's what, five or so days of nothing but gem room runs?
(*not necessarily true, of course - but if you run it say, 50 times, you still have a 60% chance of no support giancryst - 0.99^50 Around 75 runs is where it tips 50%).
/edit: It looks like Reddit did have a thread about this. Sounds like their conclusion was about the same.
Well, didn't get a Wilheim, but I did get a rainbow with my daily. Got Luneth. Nice get I think since I didn't have him.
Not really sure where to put him though with Setzer, Yun, Noctis, Cecil and Refia. Guessing it would depend on the fight? I know some fights I could give Cecil a dual-magic materia and replace Refia (or vice versa, for the Embolden buff). Would hate to drop the Yun/Setzer combo because of the chaining (along with friend Orlandeau/Fryevia).

While I didn't spend any money, I did probably do close to 50 pulls on the Reberta banner trying to get Zyrus (including all 10 tickets from Judecca event). Got about 10 yellows, but no Zyrus. Ended up getting him on a daily on Wednesday on the Rem banner. Glad I got him, but was kind of strange.
Something similar happened with Setzer. probably tried about 50 pulls to get him too, and finally got him after all that. Then pulled another one a couple days ago on an off banner ticket.
I know it's been talked about, but I swear the rate for banner gold pulls is LOWER for the banner unit.

I'm not. Daily, 5 Tickets (Queen) and I told myself I would only do enough Multi's for half of the gift card I got. So I did 4. First one had a Queen and Noctis..second was trash...3rd had an Orlandu....4th had a Wil. Fuck.
Oh I finally got some more of that Ingus fucker also. Fuck that guy.

Didn't get him on banner despite doing a lot more pulls than I anticipated. Every Gold since has been garbage. I know he'll drop at some point, but I'd rather like him sooner than later. But Xon? Fuck.

I'm not, but it's cool. Again last banner I said it took about 100 pulls for Rem (with 3 off banners). PC Banner I said it took about 300 pulls for Greg (With 4 or 5 off banners in there). I spent $300 on the original Chizzy banner, and almost $600 between the two Lightning banners. Trust me if I spend alot or have to pull a lot I will bitch about it. Someone can believe me or not, I don't give a shit lol.

That is a title I do not want lol. At least I've never pulled for 5 of the same base 5 on a banner ever, that shit is stupid. If I ever spent anywhere near what that dude spends on a fucking mobile game, I am pretty sure my wife would have shanked me.

Just not going to be able to do ELT me thinks. Brought my only caster worth a shit, Exdeath, and someones Helich. Brought Cecil, Refia, Luneth, and Orlandu. Luneth and Orlandu were doing like Imperil and breaking MAG/ATK. Terra is my only other caster but her HP is so low it's not even worth it. Have to give up MAG to get HP and it's just not worth it.
This is a time when I wish they'd have given me damn Fryveia.
