I am Groot was surprisingly good and I'm shocked how much I like Young!Jean Grey as a character. Legit one of my faves.

If you chose monthly shipping option they will ship out at the end of the month they come out or when they are all in stock. If one is late and doesn't make it that month the ones that did will ship.

Batman Rebirth Deluxe Vol 1 (Expected Ship Date: 8/30/2017)

Low Deluxe Vol 1 (Expected Ship Date: 10/4/2017)

Justice League Darkseid War Vol 1 (Expected Ship Date: 10/11/2017)

So I should get a package at the end of this month, then another at the end of August, and then finally one at the end of October? If so thats great! I wasnt expecting one until October at the latest. I was wondering what would happen if one happened to sell out before they even shipped my order.

If you pre order them they are pulled for you. You have nothing to worry about, unless they are shorted on their order, which does happen.

Listening to a DC comics podcast. Host says he doesn't want to describe a fight as "mano a mano" because the two characters are female, then asks what the feminine version of that saying is.

He was so annoyed that he dropped the book after the next issue. I guess that was due to frustration from that twist as well as his feelings about Remender's cultural appropriation and total misunderstanding of Japanese people and culture.

had a hard time believing it was true at first even after reading that prologue. IGuess Remender really sold me on it, and the death just *felt* right, somehow. Not that I'm complaining that they're alive; I'm definitely interested in seeing where it goes.

Finished One More Year. Just as good as Hanselmann's previous two books in the series. Despite the crude and sometimes offensive humor, he still manages to touch on some subjects like anxiety and depression in pretty realistic ways. Can't wait for the next book.

Joe Golem was pretty solid from what I read. I don't have much experience beyond that though. I did pick up Frankenstein Underground a while back but have yet to start it. Abe's supposed to be great but I still have to pick it up.

It is called DC Comics Squadcast, and basically equates to people literally giving a scene by scene recount of exactly what happened in each comic. Which is bad enough and I would have deleted it anyway, but then the host reveals that he believes the phrase "mano a mano" to be somehow related to "man." As in he can't use it to describe a fight between female characters.

This is the country that elected a brainless president, and the bulk of our population can't point to Afghanistan or North Korea on a map, so I'm not too terribly shocked.

Royals 3 was very cool but the art does not fit the tone at all. Telling such a dark story with such a Saturday morning cartoon style kind of took me out of it.

I listen too the film and TV squad cast. The comic one never caught my attention as the guys aren't funny enough to do weekly comic recaps.


Now DCR, that was a a great DC comics podcast.

Joe Golem was pretty cool. The first arc is such a tease to the overall lore but it's a cool tale that gets you into Joe's world. Frankenstein Underground has some really great lore moments, and I loved Abe as an introspective character journey.

Honestly I have trouble saying what was good though, it would be easier to pick out what hasn't haha. HB and the BPRD book is still a bit of a ?, otherwise just delve into what looks good. I really liked Rise Of The Black Flame.

Hellboy and The BPRD is OK. Not bad but at least the art is great. Then again, hard to go wrong when you get strong artists like Maleev and Rivera lol

That is very true dude. Whereas I found Roberson an awkward fit for BPRD 1953 writing style wise, he comes across as a better fit for the nature and naturally more wordyness of Witchfinder much more, and Black Flame is mostly his own characters so it's literally a natural fit haha if that makes sense. Plus Mitten :eek:
