Media Create Sales: Week 21, 2017 (May 22 - May 28)

Nah a leak through a person's who's dev friend plays wow with him (which could be legit as leaks have come from stranger places), so far they correctly predicted cross-cross and a cross-cross switch port (though litterally everyone and their mothers predicted this).
Oh okay, I see. I guess there could be some truth to it then. I can definitely see a MH game being on the PS4 in that case, especially with how successful it's been, either as an exclusive or multiplatform

Shinobi, right?

I'm looking forward to it, it's going to be awesome
You mean his GIF response? Oh okay, I guess that could be something

Whatever MH game they may make for the PS4, I just hope it's an enjoyable game that isn't hampered with any of Capcom's more boneheaded decisions

but with all those leaks and teasing from Capcom and stuffs, MH5 PS4 is most likely going to happen though
I still think it's going to be a MH game based on the supposed film coming out. Expect MH: Poor Man's Horizon Dawn, late 2018.

Shinobi replied to a "tears of joy" comment with a gif showing tears of horror and sadness. Though I suppose it's possible he hasn't seen Interstellar.

The only "teasing" from capcpom could have just as easily have meant switch

Yeah I'm sure Capcom was talking about an unreleased platform when talking about how they want to expand overseas with a console release, whilst also citing their prediction of PS4 to be near 80 million iirc.

As I've said before, I don't see how a Westernized AAA MH only on platforms with no local multiplayer makes much sense for either Sony or Capcom and the rumor would have been more plausible during Capcom's peak Westaboo phase at the beginning of this decade, but stranger things have happened, we'll see, etc.

Well considering how some kept talking about pure Japanese speculation on a supposed Vita successor, this doesn't seem nearly as bad. At least MH PS4 has some kind of alluding from Capcom.

Capcom doesn't do external development anymore, so unless it's Capcom Vancouver, it's unlikely to be Western developed.

Highly doubt its Capcom Vancouver considering their inexperience in the genre as well as what they did to Dead Rising. This seems like a relatively big push by Capcom (had no idea there was a movie ??).

Alright what is it?

But who is making this game if the main team is doing the switch exklusiv mh?

This thing that has no actual details and may not actually be real seems like a relatively big push?

Also it would have been decided before DR4 came out.

no ps4 mh will be announced

Capcom never coordinated that closely with the RE films and the MH film doesn't even have a production start date, release date, or cast yet, so I'm particularly doubtful of any rumor that ties the film closely to anything Capcom itself is doing.

I'd think on it more like a concerted effort in the west. Movie, whether coordinated on or not, would still spread the brand... unless the movie is terrible. Though I guess that too would spread the brand.

It's not even just that, it's that there's still a sizable possibility at this stage that the film will fall into development hell and not actually happen.

Japanese Isekai Light Novel plot + Dragon Ball Evolution vibes + Paul W.S. Anderson

Jfc that sounds cringe as hell. "Normal American" lmao

Switching your avatar to naruhina for a year

hahaha. I missed the opportunity of having a mini SasuSaku army during Gaiden since everyone bailed, maybe this is my chance ;)

I am curious what team would be working on a MH PS4 considering the rumor mentioned the main team still working on a "portable" series for Switch.

That is possible, but think more on when you greenlight a project and, at that stage, there are also plans for a big action flick. It sounds like a nice way to combine your marketing. Now one or both or all projects may fall through but when you are initially planning something out and you see the potential for a multimedia push, it probably sounds pretty good.

Or at least that's how I'd think on it rather than directly pegging a game to a hitherto unknown movie.

Isn't MH developed internally by more than one team?

Pretty sure there are multiple teams, not even just two. Since we have so many divergent MHs now.

Capcom has been working on hiring around 1000 new staff members recently.

It's been over 100 a year for around 5 or 6 years now.

MH Frontier was already announced for PS4 was it not?

You already lost that bet.

Now, If you're talking a non frontier game then you're right on the money. A PS4 version of anything other than frontier isn't happening.

Future Monster Hunter completely skipping Switch would raise serious questions about Nintendo's relevance to third parties. It would be a massive blow so I could definitely see Sony pushing for it.

It would be a massive blow for Capcom as they lose their most stable franchise.

I don't think a single rumor has suggested this would happen though. Capcom would be shrinking their potential MH market instead of expanding it.

Monster Hunter skipping switch would just damage Capcom only and that's it

Capcom needs the Switch for Monster Hunter more than Nintendo needs Monster Hunter for the Switch.

I don't think you quite understand that.

Well consider the fact that MHXX gave a boost to Nintendo's stock and then imagine the blowback. Especially at a time when they must be trying to build support back up.
.

I'm saying don't worry about the possibility.

That remains to be seen.
Capcom's not going to ditch the switch anytime soon every single rumour states the opposite. It's their bread and butter and would affect Capcom a lot more than it'd effect Nintendo and they know this.

Oregano was doing so well in the past few weeks. Or maybe it's just that he really can't stay in the middle. It's one extreme or another :(

Do I need to remind to everyone how the rumour still states there will be "main" (Portable) MH games on Switch anyway?
