two mistakes i hope Microsoft doesn't repeat.

1. Stop putting your employees front and center to cheer for every thing you say. It's obnoxious and shows insecurity.

2. Don't make the Scorpio reveal half an hour of developers and trailers talking about Flops, and Pixels and so on.

As someone who's Xbox has been collecting dust for a year now, i'm interested in whatever games they can announce. And i'm interested in replacing it with a Scorpio. But the games need to be there.

I didn't think I would be hyped for this e3. I am hyped for this.

Only thing that would make the MS conference crazy hype is if a Crimson Skies game was announced. That won't happen.

So how does this Mixer thing work? I downloaded on my iphone, created a new account, do I need to link this somehow to my xbox live account somehow?

Going to be honest here. Will buy Project Scorpio at whatever price it releases.

Hoping it's $399 so that it has a higher chance of being successful which in turn keeps the industry healthy, competitive, and exciting.

Didn't get the memo regarding the 14th Amendment
2. Don't make the Scorpio reveal half an hour of developers and trailers talking about Flops, and Pixels and so on.

Can't speak for your other concern, but Spencer implied in the podcast with Major Nelson that the Scorpio reveal would be quick, and then right to the games. They both seemed to confirm that the 90+ minute conference is gaming focused.

Ya if you go into account settings there's an option to link your microsoft account, don't know if you can do that on mobile or if you have to do it on a PC.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. Will buy it regardless of price.

You guys do realize that consoles are about the games not the hardware. If the conference is about how good everything looks and they have very little incentive to buy it none of it matters. Let's wait and see.

They have pretty much already talked about the internals of the Scorpio so I hope they just tell us the price and why we should buy one, while highlighting and showing games utilizing it.

The last few years with XboxFest they are xbox fans that are the ones doing the cheering.

I totally agree, but to me the likelihood of your second point is low given the DF global release of Scorpio and spec reviews.

All the way #team$399

But also feel that weird $449 price point would be MS caving to the internet and fear of backlash of a $499 price point.

I'm hoping tonight I'll get to play Crackdown 2 on XBOX BC - I'm mean that's not too far fetched. If Crackdown 3 is announced, why not celebrate with Crackdown 2 on BC - pretty sure that's why it's been held back thus far.

Ms is making a bigger deal with Scorpio and treating it like a new console launch (hype wise), because they have to. This is the console that says: Ok guys, Xbone was indeed a mistake we promise to never make this again. Here's the new console that's actually 360 -2, the most powerful console we could built today.

To me it would make the most sense if MS treated Scorpio as their true next-gen console instead of an iterative upgrade. I think most people would've understood moving on from Xbox One to something new. MS faces a difficult challenge to market the Scorpio because it's hard to pin down who exactly should buy this thing. They've made their own consoles redundant for customers that already have a gaming PC with Play Anywhere. And it seems that if you don't have a 4K TV and already have an older Xbox One you should stay put. If MS had treated this like a next-gen console the message would be a lot clearer - buy Scorpio if you still want to play Xbox games (no matter if you own a 4K TV or HDTV).

How games look on Scorpio will be the big draw. Make no mistake.

If so, then the mistake would be Microsoft's. I hope MS has some groundbreaking new feature to unveil that would be exclusive to Scorpio. If the message is 4K, 4K, 4K I think they will fail miserably.

I may not buy Scorpio if they don't improve on existing games that didn't make their way to PC. Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive and MCC would all be nice in 4K. If they don't see upates, I'll just stick with upgrading my PC, all games will be on that anyway, with even higher fidelity.

People are out of the touch if they think Scorpio will be $499 after the Xbox One, lol. There's no way they will do that again, it will be either $399 or $449 no more than that.

I will vote $449 for 1TB and $549 for 2TB

Be called the Xbox Scorpio

Will be black

Internal power supply

Will have Halo and some racing series game at launch

They will not mention TV once!

You do realize that there are a lot of games we already know about and that doesn't include the 3rd party games that will run and look better on scorpio?

Messed up tbh. Not that it's a deal breaker for me but it definitely won't be selling a ton at that price.
If it's true, the initial launch should be fine. Enthusiasts (like me) would still pick it up and they should sell out of their initial shipments. It's what comes after that would be more difficult.

It'll be interesting to see if Scorpio has an effect on their Play-Anywhere programme.

Still not sure if I'll buy one since I've got a similarly capable PC, which may even be notably more powerful by release if I can upgrade to Vega.
