Metro, Ass Creed and Anthem were the only things that did anything for me and only Metro was a surprise. Edit: oh and Life is Strange 2.

Xbox bc is great too.

Poor showing from Crackdown, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay and all the "***exclusives***" were my low points and the biggest reason I found it to be very mediocre.
If I cared about mid-gen upgrades, $499 would have been the biggest, but I don't, so didn't really affect me much.

I really should have no problem in buying the X1X at that price (hell, I bought a switch that's gathering dust after finishing Zelda), but there's nothing that really pushes me to buy it. Just like there's nothing that pushes me to buy a PS4Pro. A new Ninja Gaiden at 4K/60 would've had me preordering 2.

499, what the actual fuck are they doing. The market won't support a console as high priced as that. The ps3 processor and their own fucking console the xb1 proved it. They had to slash the price big time to get the console to the price where it moved more units. They have not learned a damn thing done the xb1 hw reveal price wise.


Games were decent however, and managed to elevate the pressure.but that price is a terrible way to close.

It comes down to how you look at it. If you're just evaluating it as an Xbox customer it was overall ok if not amazing. If you're evaluating it competitively (I.e. what exclusives and unique games/services were shown or price points revealed that would be competitive vs Sony/Nintendo) then it was damn weak.

See that's the thing and where it seems like some already have their mind made up. How can we compare anything when the other two haven't had their shows yet?

As someone I guess pretty loyal to Xbox, I didn't see anything here making me buy the XB1X. Maybe if I see some side by sides of games on 1 vs X, it might convince​ me I am missing something. Otherwise I just don't get why I would spend $500 on an upgrade.

Popped over to the subreddit for XBox One, and it's crazy to me how they are numbing the news as positive. Like I dont get how $500 is practical for a console with zero exclusives.

I get that they share games on PC now, but that is surely indicative that MS totally gave up on the console market this gen, right?

Certainly a thought that came to my head, especially after so many rough looking "exclusives".

One of the biggest reactions during the conference was the announcement of Xbox BC games. That was pretty telling.

Also the $499 price point was thrown out before quickly moving on. Nothing in this conference spoke confidence, more like Microsoft is settling in before axing the Xbox brand, at least the hardware division.

There were some cool games here, but nothing that made me stand up and say "oh wow I need an Xbox One X!"

MS's first party lineup looks really anemic right now. They should have at least shown one game far off to get people excited, but there really wasn't anything to get hyped about. Expecting Sony to bring it tomorrow as usual.

I thought it was a great showing, got what I wanted out of it, was hoping for more exclusives but happy with Crackdown and SoT plus more. Ori looks amazing and absolutely loved the first one, and they've sold the message that the Xbox is the place to be for Third party games

I can see it now, Sony will show a load of CGI trailers which everyone will faint over which won't come out for years

I would rather be shown games that will come out in a reasonable amount of time like a year

How do you launch a console for $500 with no "wow" exclusive game? Who wants to pay $500 to play multiplatform games they can get on PC or PS4 (which has tons of incredible exclusive games)?

As an Xbox gamer I'm pretty disappointed. They were hyping this up and I saw maybe 3 games I want to play and all were multiplatform.

The conference was at least pretty well paced, apart from the Forza and Sea of Thieves bits.

Literally nothing exclusive made for the power of xb one x. Sea of Thieves, Forza 7, Crackdown 3 werw made for the weak og xb one limitations.

This thread feels like battered wife syndrome by constantly living in denial and hoping that it will be better the next time. After I heard the Xbox One S would be $249 I knew the $499 price was incoming. It's annoying but not the end of the world for me. I'll still get one but it may hurt them in the long run.

Exclusives absolutely matter. MS is the only one abandoning this.

Even when they were down, Sony and Nintendo worked at making exclusive IPs that have a stronger reputation today.

There is just no longterm plan I see from MS
