Never played either the original or the remaster, so this remake will be my first time with an Ueda game.
that was the point, controlling the horse was supposed to be like controlling a real horse, you were supposed to be stumbling around on the colossi as they moved back and forth
i think those animation changes to the model might have to do with having to redo the character model of Wander
I'll go crazy if they add any of the cut content, I can't see why else this would randomly be remade but day one.
Well, it just wasn't fun. What's the point of trying to mimick real life in a fantasy game about giants? In real life you also need to sleep and take a pee, but that would be a really boring thing to do in a game.
I don't think the younger audiences would appreciate it all that much unless they change that part of it, but could be wrong.
I'll wait for the next remaster on the PS5. It will look even better!
I dont get what is odd about this. This is so weird. Do you we know if they will change anything story or content wise?
Ummm...no? The game's story is set by a guy who's mastered that narrative style more than almost any other developer, so I'd rather not have the fanfic + the extra colossi that were probably cut for a reason, thankyouverymuch. Maybe as unlockable extras in a boss mode though.

If they do add it I can see it added as something to do after the credits roll, you get a little cutscene and you follow the light from your sword to a new area.I'm torn on this. I'd like to see extra cut Colossi from the PS2 release, but it might hurt the pacing of the game.
FF7 is a remake. Completely new gameplay while retaining core elements of the original.
This looks like a very well crafted remaster, on the same level as the Crash Bandicoot trilogy. Gameplay looks identical, right down to Wander's running animation.
I love that a lot of reactions knew what was up with that opening shot
That Tower and recognizable bridge was like "wait..."
then the Japan Studio logo was like "oh wait is that..."
then the horses galloping on the puddle was like "fuuuuuuuck"
Turns out that the best game of E3 2017 is from 2005.
I dont get what is odd about this.
Its a game people love so it got a remake, same with FF7,Crash and Ratchet and Clank.
This was the only real surprise from Sony's comference... will buy.
I dont see any reason why theyre doing this unless theyre adding in the cut colossi.
I mean they could definitely fine tune some of the grip detection and maybe give the game a satisfying ending?
..They're doing this because they want to?
And give it a satisfying ending, is this a joke post?
GenDesign don't seem to be involved so it's unlikely :c Looks like it's exclusively a Bluepoint production.

Ueda had another idea for the ending so id like to see it. And the whole point of a remake is to give incentive to play it over the HD version.
The ending is perfect. I heard they are adding a boss rush modeUeda had another idea for the ending so id like to see it. And the whole point of a remake is to give incentive to play it over the HD version.
