I never understood how blacking out and memory loss worked when drunk.

I've been drunk plenty of times to the point of passing out and up to the point of passing out I remember everything, regardless of whether I actually had actual control of myself or not. So I never understood how people can be functional but just happen to have gaps in their memory.

Happened to me two times, once for an hour long period, another for a period of 10 minutes but i fell asleep right after

usually when I drink a lot on an empty stomach and mix different liquors (although I know that's just me being superstitious), but its usually when I have around 10+ shots and then pound a shit ton of liquor at once like a full cup of wine or half a cup of soju. My body is still functioning and im not on the floor but my brain is so dehydrated i just dont know whats going on and what my actions are. It's scary when you realize that you had no control of yourself the next day.

That is not consent, you cannot consent when you are "super hammered." Having non-consensual oral sex IS sexual assault. And if the Daily Mail source is to be believed, he DID rape her.

When I was a drinker Hard alcohol was like a button to me. If I drank any amount I was liable to completely black out the night. Not in the sense that I was in a stupor, but just wasted with no memory and no one would really know. So if someone took advantage of me in that state it would not seem like I was blacked out. Really scary, and I learned as a young adult to not drink hard alcohol because of it.

If you are as drunk as the press implies she is, there is no way she could have made any sort of valid statement regarding her capabilities. Her "agreeing" to have sex in that state would be the same as her "agreeing" to drive a car.

This won't kill mainline Bachelor, not even close. I don't follow it, but know enough people to know just how much of a juggernaut it is.

Probably just kill this cycle, it's a spin-off and they can rebrand, they've done it before.

I'm not surprised 2 of the most polarizing people over the past 2 seasons of the bachelor are involved in this. DeMario was exposed this season for having a girlfriend back home while he was dating the bachelorette. Corrine, was probably the most sexually aggressive contestant in bachelor history, which is saying something.

Nuts. Initial report seemed to imply she gave him oral sex and didn't remember. Clarification that she was unconscious and he performed on her seems to be as rape as rape can be.

I never said she could consent in her state. I said you can consent if you are drunk. Not blackout drunk. I make decisions all the time when im drunk along with millions of other people.

You've probably just never been blackout drunk before. I've been blackout drunk like... twice in my life, and it had never happened until I was in my 30s which is pretty rare. On my honey moon my wife and I were drinking a fairly normal amount, like more than usua lbut nothing crazy, and then at some point in the night, I have absolutely no memory of anything. We didn't do anything unusual... Literally left the bar, went to bed, but I have no memory of cashing out, paying, going upstairs, etc., etc. It had never happened to me before and I was pretty shook from it. My wife was like "YEah, you were drunk but pretty normal."
