They said the DLCs will have different play styles and as such, this ones no different. If you don't want it then don't buy it instead of shitposting people that want it.

I really, really hope they go back and add some assault rifles to the main game for Noctis to use.

Would have loved to reenact the Omen trailer...It kind of baffled me that Noctis was running around in Ch13 with all those rifles hanging on the wall.

Didn't really need it with the ring, but still

Ep Prompto looks fun, unlike Gladio's.

Hoping Gamescom means a FFXV Story Expansion trailer. The multiplayer and avatar system can die in a fire.

Looks cool, definitely back in for this. I'd be happier if instead of EXPANDED UNIVERSE we got a couple big meaty Witcher 3 expansions, and that's where all the energy went.

It's pretty obvious that there will be a big story expansion. IIRC Tabata said that there's an "awesome unannounced expansion" being worked on alongside the multiplayer.

I also honestly think that the multiplayer will immediately tank if it's not released alongside a big story expansion (and even then I think it'll be active for a few weeks max because no one goes to a mainline FF for their multiplayer fix).

The team said a while ago that Prompto and Ignis's episodes would be more story driven, and, therefore, a more interesting prospect to the fans. The gameplay looks really good, though! they didn't rest on their laurels because it would be story focused.

I could have said "(obviously not including the MMO's)" but it's obvious that they're not comparable. I'm pretty sure SE knows that for the multiplayer to stand a chance it has to be bundled with something pretty massive otherwise it's dead upon arrival.

They can do some really interesting stuff in his DLC though since it happens during the Altissia attack. I think we'll see the turning point for Ravus there. Also, I had a theory that he
lost his sight trying to use the ring to save Noctis/Luna
.. So I'm really curious to see if that is true.

He never really touched upon the expansion besides that. I don't recall him saying it was a story expansion.

Besides the dissonance of Prompto being able to take a selfie while trapped in a facility and presumably about to be met with an earth-shattering revelation that ultimately isn't going to matter, I don't see anything in this footage to write home about. It's as mediocre as it can get in my opinion. Perhaps if they had shown the snowmobile instead, I dunno...

But it's going to be a relatively inexpensive DLC so whatever. I'm only paying attention to this because I want to see if the completely shafted mad scientist with the raspy voice who only had literally one scene and two lines will show up again and whether anyone will still remember him after this.

You're thinking of every single negative thing possible with this. There are many of us who remember the "mad scientist", they did show the snowmobile a bit, and you can't really say it's mediocre if you never played it.
