A billion dollars, loads of new studio logos leaked, you had Victoria, Vancouver ect.

Remember Lift London teasing a game for years?

Literally nothing has come of any of it.

And maybe gears and anything they just started this year and had a 2 year long dev time

Started with who?? lol

But I thought he didn't like exclusive deals?

Wait, signed? So exclusives from third-party's?

What about the first party stuff?

Apologies if I misread, I'm ill right now.

Signed exclusives?

Thought he was against that on Monday.
He's referring to First party games from external studios. Games funded and published by Microsoft. Every publisher "signs" games.

We know of at least one game they've signed with Studio GOBO.

Sounds like I'm the only person excited to get an XOX for multiplats. Much higher chance of native 4k and even 60fps,thats where I'll be playing most of my games.
Mainstream gamers are content with mostly multiplats, charts are dominated by them, the notion theres nothing to play if there's little exclusive is nonsense, 3rd parties provide a stream of games for those focused on one console, they're still enjoying thier machine. Of course exclusives distinguish these machines, but it's not like theyre not coming, probably not at the volume some prefer.

Misunderstood your post.

Yes, there will be games to play. Just not enough to differentiate the console's library.

I think I dont understand your answer either. What specific game or type of game is the console missing, or needing to fill to "differentiate the console's library"? (apart from JRPGs).

Also, missed on that list new Ori 2.

I think Phil's hands are tied. He clearly knows Xbox doesn't have enough games, but you see how he passes the buck to Nadella. Microsoft probably doesn't want to give his division the money it needs to develop exclusive games.

Actually, in the same interview Phil mentions that Satya would understand the need to develop first party software. https://youtu.be/_5G4pdbKjWI?t=12m42s

Regardless, I think Spencer has done a fine job branching out the Xbox platform to other devices. I think first party solutions are definitely something he should be working out on, but I also understand games don't just come out the peanut gallery, especially games that a lot of gamers would like to play.

What I meant was that it has nothing to recommend it over a competing machine, be that PC (especially PC) or PS4.

I mean I was really trying to go for a debate on whether it's better to announce years out or announce more close releases but whatever, ive made a Phil bashing thread now or something I guess?

I never said you had the intention to bash anyone, but can you not see that the title of thread is completely out of context and portrays that any future games he has coming won't be for another 2-3 years. Portrays something that is false that will cause this sort of fake outrage thread, not to mention that thread title has nothing to do with your intentions of setting up that conversation. If your first thought to my reply was to assume that I was some how calling you a fanboy rather than you looking at the title you wrote and realising the obviously misconstrued title then I don't know what to tell you. I wouldn't misconstrue you as a fanboy SOR5 because I see and read your posting actively in other threads especially xbox threads.

So you mean like how Microsoft won't release the Minecraft update on PS4? Gotcha.

I actually fully thought this was a sarcastic joke, but you are actually being serious. I don't know how to reply to that level of blind psoting, but looking at your post history I won't waste the time

I got you, I just copied the source article title (poorly) my apologies and I get it

i suppose you said the same thing about yoshida right?

They gave release dates and windows for eight games, dude, all 2017/2018. There's quite a large difference between Sony's first party line-up this year and next and MS's.

If Sony had just a few games to show after delivering almost nothing this year, I'd be very concerned as a PS4 owner.

First party I'm specifically talking about, I missed Crackdown though.

Crackdown is technically second party, as it's being handled by external studios.

If we're just talking about first-party output from Microsoft Studios, Forza Motorsport 7 and Sea of Thieves are the only announced projects currently in development.

Listening to this guy talk I'm positive he only says things to get him out of the interview and doesn't think ahead or tells the truth.

He says one thing and changes his mind days later. He'll say something is bad and MS would never do it and then they do it. The guy is a complete joke.

The Pro has games that are native 4K as well as checkerboarded 4K so it's not a true 4K console.

The XOX has games that are native 4K as well as checkboarded 4K so it's clearly the only true 4K console. Why does anyone take this guy seriously?

"I see what the other first-party is doing – Uncharted was an amazing game. I think Naughty Dog did a great job. I’m sure Last Guardian, when it ships this year, will be great, but I just look at the lineup and the quantity and the quality that our team’s been shipping and I feel really good about that.”

He's said in past interviews that he's against third party exclusives and wants to invest in 1st party titles.

http://www.techtimes.com/articles/8...s-third-party-exclusive-games-on-xbox-one.htm

There's a difference though between signing a third-party exclusive publishing agreement, such as with Rise of the Tomb Raider, and the funding of a third-party project in exchange for permanent/timed exclusivity, e.g. Titanfall or Dead Rising 3.

I believe it's the latter he's talking about, as opposed to the former.

Haha, two to three years from now will be when the next generation launches. So he's saying he's already signed exclusives for the launch line-up of their next console.

Xbox fans should hold him accountable and/or be depressed by the stringing along for years.
I'd be annoyed as a soon to be customer though I'm not, I have my eyes on 3-4 games and that's enough for me as I'm mainly after the Region 1 4KBD.

Yea Phil but I'm sure Sony recently signed a bunch we don't know about aside from the ones we do already. Put up or shut up.
