Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Launching August 22, $39.99

From what I've seen so far, I'm really digging how much the game reminds me of the classic Uncharted gameplay I loved from the original trilogy.

After E3, I'm feeling pretty good about my £23 pre-order. That's a more-than/reasonable price to pay for a campaign that's apparently the same length as the first Uncharted.

Uncharted 4 PS4 PRO support was rushed. They promised The Lost Legacy to support the PS4 PRO better. Expect something similar to advanced 2160p checkerbaord like in Horizon Zero Dawn. That is why we got all The Lost Legacy trailers in 4K.
Expect the same for God Of War (which got included in dynamic 4K trailer) , Death Stranding and TLOU2 since both got 4K trailers too.
I knew this game looked better from the trailer, I guess that's because of the higher resolution.

Random comment but the score seems to be fantastic, the opening segment in the Sony's conference was great and the trailer music was amazing too.

I noticed it right away too, I loved the music in UC4, but this felt a little more traditionally bombastic to the series (not that there weren't tracks like that in 4), though maybe since it was focused on big moments.

Yeah, the lead guys working on it definitely don't have me worried, it should have a nice combination.

So game will have the same multiplayer, meaning I can delete Uncharted 4 and just have it on Lost Legacy? That would be cool, since there are more games to come and digital Uncharted 4 MP would be convenient for me.

I dont remember Chloe being this tanned. Is she like this now so that I dont feel bad about mowing down brown people? :p

I think they're leaning more into her Indian background. Not only is she a bit browner, her face looks a little different. She's half-Indian according to ND.

Loved the E3 trailer. I really liked the line from the villain(?) about being exploited for gains of others. It fits well into the series as a whole

Did it include the season pass in the Liberatalia Edition? And if so, did that code have an expiration date? Why not just try it and see what happens?!

Interesting comment earlier in the thread about ND supporting the Pro better this time as UC4 was rushed.

Does this mean we'll def get SS for 1080p? My day 1 purchase decision will depend on it....

Yep. I know it's early but this game is looking more 'Uncharted' than UC4. The shorter length should help with keeping the action flowing well too.

Have they said how long this is?

ND games tend to be on the long side (usually lasting me about 10-12 hours) so even if it is 2/3 of that length, it should still be a really meaty campaign.

Plus I think most of their games could use some trimming anyway. Too much filler.

Uncharted 4 supported downsampling for 1080p users, so I suppose this one will too.

Quite surprised how "fast" they've been able to release this.

They've started working on this before the release of Uncharted 4 and that one released over a year ago. Also, they can reuse a lot of their technology and assets they have created for their previous game. So ~2 years of dev time seems realistic.

In an interview one of the leads has stated that we can expect the game to be around the length of the earlier Uncharted games.

Uc4 was how long? 10 hours?

I heard this can be anywhere from 5-10, do we know how long this is?

if it's the length of earlier uncharted games (1/2/3) 8-10 hours seems fair. which is perfect to me. U4 was more approaching 15hours on average. i think i clocked 16.

"What is The happening my fellow The Yakuza of The love freind".
Thank Starfire for my speech pattern...

Most Uncharted games are between 12 to 15 hours in normal game play (not including integrated replay value or trophy hunting).

I would hope that Uncharted:TLL is at a minimum 8 to 12 hours of base game play.

so it's not confirmed?

the yakuza of the love friend? lol

anyways, also is it reasonable to assume that this release will bolster also the Uc4 multiplayer?
A normal person should finish Uncharted 4 in 15-17+ hs.

Uncharted 1 is about 8hs, 3 is about 10hs, and 2 is about 12hs.

I expect the new one to last 8hs.
8 hours is fine for $40 I guess

they've confirmed it's the length of the older uncharted games. so 8-10 hours is confirmed, yes.

Sorry, I haven't been keeping up with news about this, but is this ALSO still U4 dlc as well as a standalone? If not, is U4 actually getting any dlc?

This is "replacing" the DLC that was originally planned for UC4. But it's still "free" for season pass owners that purchased it before this was announced.

I'm kinda worried for a shorter Uncharted because one of the reasons U4 is longer was the size of the enviroments.

Just the whole Libertalia backstory (which is awesome) was longer than other games in the series, but I have this feeling that this game will last as much as Uncharted 1 but will have a shorter story.
