Horizon is basically a blend of Witcher, Tomb Raider, Far Cry, a sprinkle of Skyrim, and some Uncharted cinema direction. Robot dinosaurs aren't new or original, and red head female lead is what makes things original now? Sci-fi open world makes it original now? Come on, fam.

Not that a game needs to be original to be good... you guys really need to relax.

What would it take for you to call a game original? Is it even possible for a game to release that doesn't have elements of other games? I think it's pretty strange that you don't think an open world filled with 25 different kinds of robo dinosaur creatures is original. Which other games have a similar focus? The story is more debatable, but I feel the blending of high quality sci-fi in an open world is pretty damn rare. But I guess it doesn't really matter if you want to not use the word 'original'. The game is incredible, and that is what counts.

Far Cry? The new Tomb Raider games have crafting from animals you kill too.

Horizon was literally Tomb Raider with robot dinosaurs. Which is completely ok. The new Tomb Tiader games are fucking awesome, which by extension means HZD is fucking awesome.

HZD has better story, combat and graphics than any of the new TR games. And claiming that Horizon is not original in any way because it is third person its pretty ignorant. Name a game with the same combat as Horizon, or a similar setting.

Superhot is original, Portal was original, Doom was original, Halo was original with respect to console fps, Warcraft was original...etc.
Saying Horizon is original because it has robot dinosaurs and an open world is like saying an omelette made with some new combination of ingredients is original.
