June Wrasslin' |OT| Break Out Naan And Do The Needful, It's Time For MaharaJEEEEEZUSS

If it was like the 3rd or 4th one of these

Not when it's the first and you run a tribute to all the important women in WWE and tout it as the next step in the revolution

Pretty much. Like the idea of the finish is fine, but it was the absolute wrong time and place, and they should of known better. They're going to get some well deserved shit about this for a while.

Yeah, I don't have a problem with Ellsworth being involved in the Women's MITB finish... Just not that way and execution that does nothing to transfer heat to Carmella like they should be doing in a manner of people tuning in or buying tickets to see a heel get their comeuppance, it's instead generating "I don't want to follow this anymore" reaction and for good reason, especially with a company with an eroding audience who so wants to draw in the female demo. I would LOVE to know who booked that finish.

At worst it should've borrowed the TLC 2 finish at WM17 with Carmella on Ellsworth's shoulders and her grabbing it. Then allow her to escape as at least a couple women, specifically ones he knocked off the ladder get some immediate pay back.

EDIT: Someone also pointed out the angle with Kane helping Rollins which would've worked too.

LOL at the women mitb finish. How tone death can this company be.

God I love me heel Usos, you guys have no idea.

Edit: another shit ending :/

The fuck was that Maria thing?

I already miss cute funny NJPW Maria :/

I didnt get a chance to watch the new Twin Peaks before going to Sydney.

I paid an extra $20 for a deluxe Menome size capsule at the capsule hotel this week. Its much more comfortable.

Just looked up the finish to Money in the Bank. Lol...called it. Baron Corbin. I knew this overpushed bad case of 90s tattoos would be handed that one. I'd have put it on Nakamura and let him full on dance it up all year with that thing being carried around.

Can you really call Baron overpushed tho? This is his first major win since the ARMBAR last year. Much of his time on the main roster has been spent hanging out in the midcard. It wasn't until late last year that he started to really be pushed up the card, and even that happened because the brand split left some space open for him to move up. Dude still doesn't have a single title to his name, he's eaten as many losses and he's taken wins, and has only main evented some episodes of Smackdown and only main events PPV's in multi man matches.

I can understand not liking the guy, but I think they've actually shown a great deal of restraint and patience in how they push Corbin compared to a lot of guys and gals.

I don't really have a problem with him having it either. Of the heel choices he made the most sense and it's dumb to ever give the briefcase to a face. It was also nice to see that they realize A.J. vs Nakamura can be a big drawing match someday.

Corbin was the most logical choice. Ziggler would have been a laughable waste, and the other four can be put in the title scene whenever you want and no one will bat an eye. Corbin needed this win to help legitimize him.

men's MITB was great. I kinda get what they did with Nak, and the AJ tease was great, but you got these guys killing themselves (KO my god) and Nak just comes back at the end from being laid out with a camera? I dunno man.

Anyway, I like Corbin as you all know (even if one of you motherfuckers ruined End of Days for me by saying hes rock bottoming himself) so I dont mind the finish, but if AJ vs Nak for the title doesnt happen at Wrestlemania, this company is completly bonkers.

It wont happen will it?

At least his Deep Six always looks awesome. (and it could be worse, it could be incredibly stupid looking like the Zig Zag)

why the fuck was the title match finish the EXACT same as the Bcklash finish?

Woman's MITB finish fuckery aside, another thing that annoyed me is the spotlight involving Carmella and Ellsworth. I hate the whole "YOU DESERVE CHANT" crap, but in the spotlight of the FIRST woman's MITB I feel it should have been given to people who have done a lot of the division (Becky or Charolette). Ellsworth still being around, used and involved in woman's storylines is just really bothering to me. Carmella getting the briefcase was just, I don't know. She just comes off 100% as a Steph/HHH pet project

Corbin was the only choice because they hate giving it to babyfaces.

I guess, but really, what would winning the briefcase have done for Nak? Or Styles? Sami was the only other participant who arguably could have used the win, but even with him, I'd say Corbin was lower on the totem pole.

If they werent idiots who turned AJ face, heel AJ with the briefcase would have been the best.

Other than the fact that fucking Jinder Mahall is the champ.

I hope Ellsworth cashes in and wins

Fuck it, shit on all the optimists defending this like it'll end good to justify the decision. Go all the way

It's been said a ton of times so far, but -

They did a GIANT disservice to the women in that MITB match. (Ignoring Steph's I'm so proud bullshit, Shane and DBry pulling fake concern that it will be addressed tomorrow, etc.)

While I know it was probably going to be a little off/awkward since it was everyone's first MITB, and first Women's MITB, they had so many opportunities there to do little spots with different combos of the women, and all they could come up with was "Let's have the guy not in the match run up the ladder like everyone jokes wrestlers should anyway".

Aside from that, just because Ellsworth is her manager doesn't mean that he can just give her the briefcase and count that as a win. The rule is "The person who gets the briefcase is the winner." They should either be creative and work some angle where HE has to cash in against a woman, or just say the match doesn't count at this point and start the fuck over.

I was honestly looking forward to their match, and the way it ended really sucked the life out of the moment.

Meltzer's saying KO had to be helped backstage after the match. Hopefully it isn't anything serious but with all those spots he was in, an injury happening because of it isn't the most shocking thing ever.

A side effect of the deluge of patently garbage booking over the years is that the audience has been conditioned to believe that the ending "made sense" because it fits the the template of pure uncut shit booking.

It also forced people to compartmentalize a match's quality and its finish because of how frequently the endings are bungled or wholly unsatisfactory. Nobody bats an eyelash at ripping a movie to shreds if they cock up the ending.

KO took some nasty bumps last night. I thought he was done after the Sami move. Then he took that move(kinda looked like a AA) from AJ onto the ladder.
