Man, I hope they have him go to Nintendo again.

You know, Reggie use to work at Pizza Hut.

God damn,a big ol dash of nostalgia there. Now all we need is for him to hold up a big ol loudspeaker in a crowded place

Same level in which sense? The first Bubsy is known as a solid game...and the original Crash games are some of the best pure 3D platformers out there.

He's just commenting on the "fur" pun that Bubsy used in their titles.

Bubsy in Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind
Bubsy 3D: Furbitten Planet

I never played any Crash game back in the day. I constantly feel I'm totally out of the loop with this collection :/

Kinda on the verge about getting it. Maybe I'll wait until it drops a bit in price, but it does look like this is my chance to get into the series.

There isn't really any need. At the time Nintendo was on top of the industry.

These days...well....

For the record, I preferred the mascot suit without the face cutout.

Mario still overshadows Crash's popularity. A throwback to that ad would be amazing.

Ohh, I see. Still kinda sounded like an intimation of Crash being poor quality, though, which seems a bit far to me to put it on Bubsy 3D level.

Oh I see, yeah, he could be being cheeky and implying that as well.
In which case he'd be incorrect. ;)

This is what made the original advertisements great. Those commercials were highly self aware and took the underdog approach to Nintendo and Mario. These commercials were released months before the NA launch of Mario 64 and the N64, Mario 64 was being hyped as a gaming event in itself. Sony really wanted to knock that hype down by a few pegs and take some potshots at Nintendo in the process with their own Crash... they really wanted Crash to be the new Sonic of that generation.
