PlayStation VR Thread 2: Reloaded

Is there a list of PSVR games that use dual-Move? I can't find my second one at the moment, so I'd like to hold off on those until I can!

Mervils is as close as you are going to get now. The game is actually pretty fun. It is a full blown platformer.

I started it the other day and played through the Countryside world. Thus far, I'm really not impressed, but maybe it improves in design terms later on?

One thing that isn't likely to improve is the jumping physics, those are *terrible*. And the combat mechanics are pretty iffy as well, although perhaps they'll function better now I've upgraded a weapon.

Great to hear Ace Combat 7's VR mode will be pretty meaty and not just a basic / throw away mode.

Here are some quick impressions:

The demo available to attendees equated to around 10-15 minutes of gameplay starting on an aircraft carrier. From here the demo fired you into some sunny, cloud filled skies, above some exotic looking islands. There was no time to waste looking at the pretty scenery as you were instantly put into a dogfight with several hostiles.

The real joy in Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown – and any VR cockpit-based title – is the ability to properly look around for those targets. While they do become highlighted in your HUD, flying at thousands of feet above sea level whizzing through the clouds hunting down opponents really does immerse you in the combat. The title provides just the right amount of control to make you feel like a Top Gun pilot without being super realistic and overwhelming.

A little suspicious, since usually these stores will receive official supplier information before listing anything. Maybe they will make sure of DS4 only.

that looks pretty official looking

I was wondering why Skyrim was possible but not fallout 4.

Fallout 4 is never going to happen on PSVR. Let's all give up on that now and save ourselves from the pain of it getting brought up all the time.

So brookhaven patch might not happen again, Windland Move support patch available now though. Isn't patch usually being pushed out together?

Chances of it being wrong is very high, just weird that who could be pranking us, hijacking these sites to put up these fake stuff, PSVR is such a small community unlike the previous case of Nintendo Switch games. Two official sites messing it up? Hmm.
I'm not putting any hopes that it will happen, just genuinely curious what is going on in the background.

how much do you think Arizona Sunshine is?

$40, confirmed from AMA.
Pricey but hey, they deserve it for manage to optimize the game on PSVR with so many new weapons for Aim.
Apparently there's a new mode for Aim too, so that's horde mode 4 players, campaign/co-op 2 players and one additional mode.

Any good 'walking simulator' games (i.e. Edith Finch, Firewatch, The Long Dark) available for PSVR or word of any in the pipeline?
Just got one as a gift and am looking for these types of experiences specifically.

nice, hopefully there will be a large online community

What are the must haves for PSVR?

Farpoint and Arizona Sunshine both look great but I want to hold off on those until the Aim controller gets restocked.

Aside from those two, anything else? I want to try the Star Wars X-Wing Mission but I read that it's only about a half hour.

There isn't really a "must-have" on PSVR, since everybody favorite games are very different with each other.
RE7 is an easy one of course. Star Trek, Werewolves Within is another highly recommended if you are playing multiplayer.
I'm a huge fan of Dick Wilde, Statik, Eagle Flight, Wayward Sky.
Rush of Blood, Rigs, Headmaster are universally loved.
Upcoming stuff for me will be Dino Frontier, Rom Extraction, Super Hot, Doom VFR, Skyrim, Moss, Bravo Team, Theseus, ArchAngel, Raw Data, Giant Cop, The Persistence

Loading human and the assembly. The latter is better though.

From the best to the worst: Robinson: The Journey, Here They Lie, The Assembly, Loading Human.

Anyone have trouble playing Star Trek Bridge Crew because the control panels are too low? I always have to reach down below my knees to reach the in-game panels, it makes playing pretty uncomfortable.

Yeah, always. And ive seen it mentioned as an issue for a lot of people. Basically I cant reach buttons because I hit my knees or the seat, or the arms of my chair. But yeah I always have to do what Shoeless says, I sit up or raise my head up a bit, then hold option, sometimes takes a few tries to get something right.

Nice! :)

1-2 players
Network Players 2-6
3MB minimum save size
Navigation Controller Compatible
Online Play (Optional)
PlayStation®VR Compatible
PlayStation®Camera Compatible
Enhanced play with 2 PS Move controllers

Hmmm. Is this the first PS4 game with Nav controller support?

I like the idea in theory, but I'm still kind of worried it'll be a barf fest. Just watching that video footage of the devs doing a demo made me a little uncomfortable. Now mind you, they were probably needlessly barrel rolling over and over, but damn.

Speaking of which, I had been holding out for a sale on Mortal Blitz and it's 30% off right now. How is it? Anyone got impressions?

Tethered is 60% off on NA store. If you have been holding out, go get it. It is a great game especially after Move patch. There are bunch of other PSVR games on sale too. Some games are 60-70% off.

Just played a few minutes of Air Force, god damn the graphic is pretty impressive.
It's just a prachute game with Move controller, 5 different levels I believe, maybe an hour worth of content.

I fly like a madman in EVE Valkyrie and it's fine. But who knows.

Let me show you through these halls, my friend, where treasures of indie gaming await...
Sweet, finally grabbed Tethered, thanks for the heads up.

Here is the list of the games on sale. This is NA store. You will need PS+.

Chess Ultra $12.99 -> $11.69 (10% off)
Darknet $14.99 -> $10.49 (30% off)
Ghostbusters is Hiring: Firehouse $6.99 -> $4.19 (40% off)
Mortal Blitz $19.99 -> $13.99 (30% off)
Moto Racer $39.99 -> $11.99 (70% off)
Passangers: Awakening $9.99 -> $5.99 (40% off)
Tethered $24.99 -> $9.99 (60% off)
Trackmania Turbo $39.99 -> $15.99 (60% off)
Waddle Home $9.99 -> $3.99 (60% off)

Tethered is a steal at that price. Mortal Blitz is also a great game.

I am considering the games below.

Darknet $14.99 -> $10.49 (30% off)
Ghostbusters is Hiring: Firehouse $6.99 -> $4.19 (40% off)
Moto Racer $39.99 -> $11.99 (70% off)
Passangers: Awakening $9.99 -> $5.99 (40% off)
Waddle Home $9.99 -> $3.99 (60% off)

I have heard good things about Darknet. I heard Passengers and Ghostbusters are very short. I read Moto Racer VR mode is fairly limited and not very good, but this is steep discount. I have no idea if Waddle Home is any good, but I might just bite at that price.

Any advice?

don't forget Farpoint, also Job Simulator if you have the room

actually there's many VR games , too many even lol they need to have a sale on older stuff

I'll be all over Farpoint if there's a restock. Not sure I'll have the room for Job Simulator, though. I had my back against the wall to stand on the Bat Symbol in Arkham VR. Is that a bad sign?

Sorry to say, but you screwed up! Especially since you mentioned Batman, Star Trek Bridge Crew, Superhot VR, why the hell didn't you raise another €50 for the bundle including two Move? That pair costs €75 on its own and is almost essential to many games, mandatory to others (like AFAIK Superhot VR).

Unless you already have a pair, then please ignore the above... XD

I should have mentioned I already have a pair, as well as a navigation controller! Bought them when they released for PS3 and quickly realised I had wasted my money. But now it turns out they were a sound investment!

Its janky but very fun. Especially if you have a big play area and can fully duck behind cover and blind fire and stuff.
