Can you blame people? DayZ was a scam. It looks fairly similar to every other early access survival game too.

Use your brain and look at how many people have reviewed the game on steam, and how many have good things to say, before making yourself look like yet another internet fool with an agenda.

currently on the fence waiting for steam to start working properly.
You really should wait. My first purchase is now... working.... working.... working.... for almost an hour now after I paid. It will probably time out with my money gone and no game, and then I can contact Steam Support once again. What a shitty store.

Any amount of research into the game will quickly paint a different picture for most. I have yet to see anywhere that has negative things to say about the game, besides Steam reviews of course because they always find something to bitch about. The overall impressions for the game are very high.

If I remember correctly even the steam reviews are Mostly positive in the "Overall" and "Recent" categories. It's apparently a fun game guys, definitely no Day Z standalone as that was barely a game in the first place when it was released.

The Paradox site is slower than Steam so I can't check exactly what the CEO said but in a Tyranny update they are advertising they will revert their recent shameful price increase.

So hold off on buying Paradox stuff maybe.

Gosh, what a mess. They're unable to rollback their recent price changes until after the Steam sale, so the timing of this is likely to cause them further logistical problems on top of the hit to their reputation and whatever else.

Fredrik Wester said:
I just came off the phone with Steam and they say we can't do the roll-back before the Summer Sale is over (otherwise it would mean we have to take all Paradox products off the summer sale) but it will be done right after. For anyone who bought any of the games during this time (including during the summer sale) we will try to refund (if possible in the Steam platform) or reimburse with games of a value exceeding the difference. If none of this is possible (I do not in detail know the limits to the Steam platform) we will internally calculate the difference in revenue before and after the price change, double the value, and donate the money to the UNHCR.

So Dishonored 2 is at $20, pretty tempting. Already have it on PS4 but the loading times really kill the fun. Main hang-up is the performance for the PC version. I have a 970 and an i7-4770k. Should I even bother trying to see if it runs decently or is it that bad of a port?

Is What Remains of Edith Finch worth it with just a 25% discount? Alternatively, I was thinking of Owlboy with a 33% discount. I also have both Disgaea games on my wishlist but I dunno if I would ever get around to playing those. Xanadu Next also caught my eye. Choices, choices was only planning to spend what's in my Steam wallet ($35)..

Squarecells is 89cents.

89cents. For Squarecells.

Well. That seems awfully convenient.

I mean, I don't think Paradox is actually up to nefarious ends here, but they're basically screwing themselves out of sales here while also screwing anyone who doesn't know about the price changes out of money that they may or may not get back sometime down the road.

Picked up DMC 4 Special Edition + costume DLC so I don't have to look at Lady's inferior new design, Lovely Planet and Bioshock 1. Nothing too crazy, I just got Tekken 7 anyway.

Any advice on deciding between Darkest Dungeon, OneShot, and Hollow Knight? I'm open to other suggestions as well.

I've bounced off of Hollow Knight. I know it's generally well liked and it did a good job replicating the storytelling of a Souls game but the gameplay never grabbed me. It was lacking the high highs and low lows of those games. I've stopped playing after about 10 hours and I can't see myself going back. Though I've heard there is a lot of game there if that's something you're looking for.

I haven't played a ton of DD either but it just got a big update and I'm looking to jump back in. They added a new difficulty level awhile ago that makes the game a bit easier so I've been thinking of jumping back in and trying to finish. I like that I can play on my MacBook or desktop, and the games have short, satisfying dungeons with turn-based combat. An unforgiving game where progress is slow but consistent.

Steam wiped my cart and the search isn't working. I don't remember all the names of the anime I had in the cart damn it! And Euphonium isn't purchasable anymore right now hmmm.

The game just received a patch a couple weeks ago. I can play it with zero slowdown on my RX 480 and an i5. Granted, I had to disable Windows Superfetch and also exit Chrome because I was apparently being CPU limited, but it runs very smoothly with no slowdown.

If you already have it on PS4 I'm not sure it's worth buying again, but in terms of technical performance I'm pretty happy with it.

I'd wait for $10 for Edith Finch. It's about the length of a movie and doesn't really have any replay value, so that seems about right.

How are the Dark Souls III DLCs? Why is the review mixed?

I'm not really into pvp in Souls games, would it be worth it for me to get the deluxe edition?

Any of those digital extras for Pillars of Eternity worth paying more for? Is the lore reading in depth? And does it complement the game well where it feels necessary?

Nope. However, If you can spare it, get the White March Expansion. Much better storyline and tons of cool abilities that make the game more fun.

Who needs DDOS when you have folks in this very thread actually attempting to buy things when the store is having serious problems loading most product pages

Hint: if a website is laggy, don't give it your credit card and expect things to go flawlessly.
Maybe if I give Valve enough money, Gabe will fix the servers. Anyway, gonna go press F5 for a while to see if they work now.

Jesus fucking christ people, why you're so desperately trying to buy everything right now? Prices will stay the same for next 2 weeks, why such hurry? Why you keep complaining about Steam getting hammered and continue to trying to add everything to your cart? Just relax and wait for few more hours, goddamit!

Thanks, I had a feeling about that. Looks like I'll go with Owlboy and perhaps Disgaea 1 and Xanadu Next then..
