OT: Was you who ordered this tablet holder @ Amazon?

I did. I use it at bedside when I feel like to use my Pro controller. I don't use it all the time but I think it's something nice to have for your Switch or whatever big screen mobile device you have.

It can only grip the Switch sideways tho. Sometimes I kinda worried about the grip being to tight that it might bend the Switch. But I guess I was overthinking. Mine is still fine.

Can you even fit the Switch with joycons on it? Or I guess I have to remove? The holder is perfect for my desk when I'm in front of my PC.

So i got an email from Bestbuy telling me that they're going to still send me a switch (and charge me for it) within the next 3 weeks. I actually do want a switch, so I'm kinda glad. Still, $450 is more than i can afford right now so I might just sell it.

This is the email i got:

Thanks for ordering the Nintendo Switch Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle. We're experiencing some inventory issues which will cause a delay in the arrival of your Nintendo Switch. We sincerely apologize and want you to know our team is working hard to make sure your Nintendo Switch is on its way to you as soon as possible (this may take up to three weeks, depending on your location).

When your Nintendo Switch is ready to ship we'll charge your original method of payment and send you an eReceipt. Shortly after that you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information. If we're unable to charge your original method of payment, we'll contact you for an updated method of payment.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call us at 1-866-237-8289. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for being a Best Buy customer.

I never tried but I don't think you can. When I play my Switch in front of my PC I prefer to use my second monitor tho ;)

I just need a switch before Mario Odyssey comes out, hopefully Nintendo ships tons more when Splatoon 2 releases.
You'll have no problem getting one by October. Scalpers are selling for less than $50 mark up when you add in tax now in my area (399 + tax + $50), usually a sign people are confident they can get them in stores now and that scalers are out of luck.

I would count on it. Not sure about Arms, but there was a bit push of systems when Mario Kart 8 Deluxe came out.

Yep, every month they look to push out a bunch of stock with their big monthly game. Mario is going to be their biggest yet, so I imagine that will see the most stock at once out of them all.

I'm waiting on Puyo Puyo Tetris. Played the demo with my wife and she then got me eShop cards for Father's Day. But until it's a bit cheaper, the demo offers all the Tetris fun we really need.

I wouldn't wait too long for a sale for Puyo Puyo Tetris. Tetris games have a habit of disappearing from the eShop due to licensing agreements, so buy while you can.

Any deals on PS4 Pro, finally got a 4k TV and im starving for content, I cant find anything but 499 which is insane.

Nope. Saw a promo with a bundle once and another "deal" like $5 off @ Amazon.ca but that's it. Maybe the fact that $399 USD = $528.224 CAD is the reason why we haven't seen any discounts? Also premium item? Maybe?

So I took my mom to Shoppers to buy milk (20% off for Seniors on Thursdays), and while we were at the checkout I saw a copy of ARMS on the wall.

started thinking to myself whether I wanted it, 'cause I could get 20% discount ($63.99) and then redeem 38k points for $60 off. by the time we got back to the car, I asked her to come back inside so I could buy a video game.

as you can imagine that didn't go over well :lol

but she relented and yay I got ARMS

Seems like it.

Jumped on the 4K train late. Would love it if there was a trade in promo for the Pro to bring it down to $299

If you can find one at Shoppers, time it with 20x points event. Could probably net $75 off. Be aware though that RFDers stake out the SDM locations with game consoles at 11:59pm before the start of the 20x day.

Good job. Never hesitate when it comes to Shoppers and seeing something video game related there. Optimum points are the best.

This is related to the Steam sale, but I wanted to share it here as well since I think it's pretty good and Steam Bundle deals are often overlooked.

Price will scale if you have any of them, I think. It's basically a 46% bundle discount on top of the currently discounted prices, which averages to about 68% total discount if you don't have any of them.

Part of me is tempted to keep that Switch now. But I don't feel like I really need it as there's not too many exclusives announced that are that interesting to me. Also, if Nintendo sees this as a portable, they'll likely release a revision sooner than later.

hmmm..

edit: I know it's not the most popular opinion, but I feel like Wii U first year line up was much more interesting. :/

What was in the first year again? All I remember was New Super Mario U, Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101. I think Wind Waker port released first year, too.

Nintendo Land, Wii Party U too. Both were a lot of fun with friends.

I guess Switch has Mario Odyssey, Mario + rabbids going for it as far as exclusive are concerned. I don't see anything else though worthwhile.

Not interested in Xenoblade.

Switch's first year line-up looks pretty darn good to me, this is first party only and already it's stellar.

Not sure Rabbids counts as first party, but yeah, looking good. Odyssey + BOTW + Xenoblade 2 + Splatoon 2 + Arms itself is a great lineup. If the third parties hop on, the future is bright.

Like I said, it's my opinion and it's certainly not the popular one.

Also Mario 3D world was technically in the first year too. A week or two before the first anniversary. edit: Nevermind, it was 3 days after.

Dream line-up. Plus all these 3rd party support including FIFA and MHXX. Then you'll also have Metroid SR and Pokémon USUM on 3DS. Nintendo is doing some really impressive work this year.

I can only speak for myself... but there's only one upcoming title that appeals to me on that chart. I've never been able to get into Fire Emblem and Xenoblade looks interesting, but I still have Persona to knock off my backlog.

I keep making my hourly check-in here, waiting for those Canadian Metroid Samus Returns CE pre-orders to become available.

Any day now...right?

...Right?
