What would yall recommend between Sins of a Solar Empire:Rebellion and Stellaris? Kinda a 4X noob if that makes a difference.

I'm actually looking at that bundle, too, except I only have Deponia Complete from it. How is The Long Journey Home. Seems like an interesting game, but the price is pretty steep and accounts for almost half the cost of this bundle. Worth it?

I'm leaning towards yes. The Long Journey Home seems like my kind of game since I loved the effing heck out of FTL when that came out.

I'm watching this video by Scott Manley and the game looks exactly what I'd want from a Space Trek Rouge Like game.

I played the demo for Shadow Tactics as well and while I'm pretty bad at it, I'm enjoying the demo a ton.

How's Just Cause 3's performance these days?
I have a GTX 1070 and probably wouldn't play it past 1080p, so can I play it fairly solidly?

I heard it was pretty rough at launch, but I'm not sure if its improved since then (I think I heard the console versions got even worse).

You'll get 60fps in 1440p with a 1070.

Both are real time 4X games, which can be really intimidating unless you want to put in the time. I'd recommend starting with a turn based game.

I'd say try Civilization or Alpha Centauri as your first game in the genre and work your way up.

Any one aware of good party dungeon crawlers on steam on sale? Maybe i've missed one somewhere, but think ive hit most of them. For what im looking for, wizardry 6-8 is probably my three favorites

Candle and Silence are in the Daedalic Artist Selection Bundle for only 15 EUR along with a bunch of other games I don't know.

Candle looks gorgeous:

And Silence is a huge step up from the Whispered World (you should see it in motion)

EDIT: Another game in the bundle also looks pretty decent:

I think the 13 is a bug where they hadn't yet flipped the queue over from the last sale event and they granted me all the cards I should have got from the last event. But what I'm curious about is if that somehow reset the number of cards I'm entitled to for this sale or something.

As an example, this is what I see now:

I think it's meant to be 3 cards a day like before

Is the PC version of Nier still a total mess? I know there's a mod that makes it playable but should I just grab the PS4 version and avoid the hassle?

People weren't kidding about Hollow Knight.

Game is fantastic. Reminds me of Lamulana. There is some Rogue Legacy and Dust in it as well. Its really beautiful.

Wait, does crawl have a singleplayer now?

It does, but i think its just the same but with bots

Isnt the only issue a fullscreen bug?

May as well get the pc version for a locked 60fps and a better resolution

I bought one game and this was it. Too much good word of mouth to pass up

For some people it is, I think it depends in the gpu?

Fwiw, I ran the game with zero issues except for some minor stuttering during cutscenes(r9 390)

Thanks! I'm pretty tempted to get it, especially considering I really want Shadow Tactics, and if I were to subtract the standalone sale price of it from the bundle sale price, that would make it $19 for the other 3 games. It helps that I don't (think) I have any games too similar in my backlog.

Still have to think about it though, as buying this would mean that's it for the Steam Sale. Don't want to spend too much.

Nier was kinda a mess for me because without the FAR mod fullscreen would result in black borders shrinking the game's screen. Which I'm pretty sure is a problem because I have a 2 monitor setup.

I finished it on PC though, so eh.

Bot Vice has become the first game I have ever bought straight out of the discovery queue. It's amazing.

It's that rarest of shooting game genres, the shooting gallery game (if you need another one to tide you over until Wild Guns comes out). You can only move along a horizontal line and need to clear out a big arena in front of you. There's a huge learning curve on level 1 alone but it gets easier after you figure that out.

There's a global timer that applies across all levels, so if you take too long on earlier levels you won't be able to finish or even get to later ones. Very much a practice-makes-perfect game.

Definitely get ya. Doesn't hurt to sleep on it. I've put a hard $100 limit for myself on Steam for the Summer sale so this will take a hefty chunk of that so I'm debating it too. haha

customary "Origins is better" post.

my nephew and niece still talk to me about Origins every time I see them

The constant loading screens/doors in levels in Origins makes Legends easily the better choice for me personally.

Plus Legends has a good chunk of Origins levels in the game lol.

Anyone having trouble getting the Microsoft RTS collection to show the proper bundle price after factoring the games you have? It was fine earlier when I was looking at it, but now when I'm about to add it to cart, it's showing the full price. Did it change from a "complete your collection" bundle to a regular bundle?

Edit: It corrects itself once you add it to cart.

This was my trimmed down shopping cart. Hopefully only good games on it.

You've done well.

Haul as of now; don't really plan on buying anything else for the sale, since I actually want to get through games.

Va-11 Hall-A wasn't a great price, but I've heard good things about it for ages and I've been meaning to play it forever. Transistor and Gemini Rue seemed cool enough, and I don't own any Half-Life games so it seemed like necessary things to add to my collection. Was debating biting the bullet on Grim Fandango Remastered, but figured I'm not good enough at point and click games and resisted.

Will probably wait for some "cheap hidden gem" thread for the sale, but for now I'm good :)

EDIT: I apologize for the image being big - I tried resizing it and repasting the new link, but it keeps showing up as a huge image -_-

Finally got a decent job, looking forward to making a decent dent in my wishlist :D

Also, making a good giveaway. Any suggestions? I usually do a giveaway with a dollar amount and let someone shop up to that amount.

I didn't care for the third act of Berseria, Lords of Shadow it a pretty alright Castlevania/God of War game, and I hear Yaiba is pretty bad. Everything else is top notch, though. Also, opinions and all that. You may hate what I like, and like what I hate.

Really? I actually felt the game got better as it progressed. The first act (tbh, I'm not sure where we're drawing the lines for the acts) was the worst easily. The worst areas (large, open fields of nothing) and you had fewer characters, so the skits weren't as good.

Alright, added everything I'm interested in from my wishlist and the total is just under $300. Time to start trimming the fat.
