Dariusburst get.

Forgot to pre-log-in to PayPal, but it didn't seem to be an issue. Stock was still at 92% when I checked out actually. Much better than the mad rush I remember for some other games!

Got my order in, the Furi soundtrack edition sold out within a minute

Since LRG has undoubtedly gone out of their way to add an extra countdown clock to their main website along with a schedule outline through Google Calendar, I'm debating on whether I should make this post the final countdown update from my end. Don't know if these have been helpful for anyone out on the Net, but I'm partly worried over these details simply are being redundant given all the other resources available straight from the source. Either way, best wishes toward everyone out there gunning for these titles tomorrow!

Your reminders have always been very helpful and nice-looking, keep 'em coming!

Both of these look like they will sell out quickly. (DB i expected to)

Dariusburst started out with 3100, so perhaps only 800 or so available for the 2nd batch.

Anyone know why Wonder Boy isn't on the upcoming releases page?

I came to the thread to ask about when this was coming. Been holding off and it's been really hard not to double dip.

I did just pickup Dariusburst though. Glad I didn't pull the trigger months ago for the Japanese version that was nearly $100 AUD. Pretty sure this game is the most expensive regular title on the Vita i've bought/seen (have nearly 70 physicals now). Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Furi's stock is disappearing faster than Dariusburst. Wow, I expected the opposite.

Same.

Dare I say that PS4 demand in general is now higher than Vita? This wasn't the case during the early LRG days. These are two different games, but I get the sense that even when the releases are the same the PS4 version has been picking up steam faster than the Vita one.

In this particular case, it also doesn't help that:

- The vita version is, well, very hard to see
- The PS4 release came before, with no Vita announcement back then

They did the right thing setting it at 4,000 copies. It will still comfortably sell out of course, but there isn't as much crazy demand, it seems.

Nah, I expected this. Vita games seem to be taking longer to shift these days. Combined with the fact that a lot of dedicated fans imported the Japanese physical version ages ago; plus there was already the PS4 version release and it wasn't confirmed we were getting the Vita version, it wasn't really the perfect circumstances for this one to shift quickly.

It'll still sell out.

It's gonna be interesting watching things like Oceanhorn and Salt & Sanctuary going forward though, to see if PS4 demand really is out-stripping Vita these days.

It's just as I had thought. Some people that wanted Darius (like me) got it on PS4 already, and probably aren't buying it twice/waited for it on Vita. Also, more people have been bowing out from complete collections lately, so less people even more. I figured the new game would be more popular this time around. Not that Vita Darius won't sell out, of course!

I feel oddly compelled to buy Dariusburst even though I already own it and the JP region DLC wouldn't work.

I am tired.

Same thought. Also, it's $50, not $30. It's much more expensive than the other LGR releases.

Just saw the tweet that the CD is also available on Furi Bandcamp site. Well, that makes not buying the bundle fine with me now. Packaging looks the same.

I was thinking of buying the LGR and sell my JP version, but I'm spending a lot on my new neogeo cd collection, so I'm gonna pass this time.

There's no other word, I'm a moron with the memory of a retarded goldfish :(
I was ready 50mn in advance, then I went to do something else and when I suddenly recalled the the LRG run it was already 20mn too late and Furi was sold out.

I need to set loudass alarms from now on. Will start tonight for the second batch...

Good to see the soundtrack is available elsewhere though, I'd have been too disappointed if the bundle were the only way to get it !

I get the sense, from reading random comments here and there, people may see the PS4 version of Dariusburst as the definitive experience. That may have hurt Vita sales a bit

Personally I wouldn't mind double dipping on it. At the time I wasn't in any position to afford the PS4 release unfortunately. I really wanted that Collector's Edition too. EBay prices must be a turn off though.

Vita fans really wanted it that bad huh? Well I feel fortunate getting it when others already had their fill. Less competition to worry about I guess. I'm looking forward to Salt and Sanctuary. I plan on double dipping for that one. I do get the sense that one is gonna be a popular release though. 2D souls-like platformer getting a physical release? That's gonna turn many heads. I anticipate Cosmic Star Heroine selling out fast for both versions.

Appreciate all this input guys. As always Vita faithfuls, keep the faith.

Do IT! You can boast about have two versions of the same game. We all love to have bragging rights.

As much as I love to support LRG, there are some lines I will not cross...!! -Maybe- if the JP DLC functioned with it :3

Really ? I was considering taking the Vita release and part with my PS4 one... Do some others share your feeling ?

While we're at it, is any of the Dariusburst DLC actually worth it?

There's so much content on the main game already that I haven't even bothered giving it a try, but I'm tempted by the Space Harrier one. Are the unique stages truly unique?

Absolutely. The Vita screen is just too damn small for what the game is. It's still worth having, but I would never sacrifice the PS4 version for the Vita one.

I can't speak for all of them, but in my experience with the couple of PS4 ones I bought, it's similar stages full of fish-bots but with unique mechanics based on the game the ship originates from. There's also music from the origin games, too.

I'd say they're a bit overpriced but there's enough there if you're a fan of the origin game to make it worth a purchase. Just don't go blindly buying all of them.

I'm reading this also on the Vitalounge review. Wow, didn't expect that, thanks for letting me know ! I'll definitely keep my PS4 version now :)

I don't share the opinion, but the most notable reason I came across was playing on a bigger screen is preferred, especially if your display has some high spec visuals. I bought the Vita release today though. I won't lie, I still want that PS4 Collector's Edition. The Canadian prices on Ebay are outrageous, and the shipping is crazy.

Thanks! I'll give Space Harrier a shot and go from there.

The LRG release should have been a complete edition... even if it was $100 or something :(

There's quite literally $120 or so of DLC available.

Pricey, most trufans already have the PS4 CE and/or the Japanese Vita version... Many factors :/

It's a $50 Vita game that already had a LRG print for the PS4 version. It's going to sell just fine, it's just not going to sell out in seconds.
I'm sure it will sell out shortly. I think I'm mostly surprised because "shmup". We're talking about a crowd that will spend over $50 for an LE that contains a download code and no disc. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with that, but I honestly didn't expect to have an option to buy Darius when I rolled out of bed this morning.

Well, there is this thing...the vita active base aren't there anymore and they won't come back. Only people aiming for a full collection or something are bothering with new releases.

Not true, I've had a friend just today that picked up Dariusburst Vita as his very first LRG title, because he didn't bother to get the previous ones as it didn't fit his taste.

Figured I'd missed out and had to wait for second batch, but I'm pleasantly surprised it's still in stock. Not surprised though; it really is pricey. Anyways, placed in my order.

Which is why we need a decent simultaneous multi-plat release to really test this.

Though, I guess Risk of Rain and Broken Age might be a bit of a precursor to this (although they still sold out).

I was a bit disappointed Broken Age didn't hurtle off the shelves (if selling out can be considered disappointing...)

It depends on the release but I got the feeling that some Vita users have started switching to the Switch. PS4 has the bigger user base, so it was just a question of time.

Regardless, I don't think Dariusburst is the ideal example. It's been out in Japan for ages and it's been released on PS4 as well. I personally don't even think the game is that great compared to some other Japanese shmups.
