What the heck is with posters that post creepy AF images?

Hey man the uncompromising course of nature is uncompromising. If it makes you feel any better if you live in America there's so many preservatives packed into your cells from your food that undertakers don't even need to use formaldehyde anymore so you probably won't encounter those stages of mortis in real life.

For anyone wondering due to the nature of the thread, this is not actually true.

Yeah, I know specifically to stay out of threads concerning bugs, the deep ocean, and dreams, because someone is going to inevitably going to post the most unsettling or disgusting gif they have on hand because why not. I've been genuinely jump scared from that one too many times.
Well, I hope you never read this post.

What's more odd is that the same gif really bothered me in that thread, and here it does nothing. I think it's the priming effect that is the emotional 'trigger' there.

ALSO the fact that people keep posting it WITHOUT GIVING THE GODDAMN SOURCE, even when asked.

wish I checked this thread before I went into the sleep paralysis thread myself :'D

3AM sleep, you just got pushed to 4.

This is not remotely creepy. Unless you are talking about something else.

Sleep paralyse is no fucking big deal, every one will experience it eventually. And you will learn to break out of it after you have had it for a few times.

Unless... you have done something bad and have been living with guilt. Can't help you there.

Give me a quick synopsis I want to know but not look it up since it's 2am here in Cali

Some overwritten and unsatisfying bullshit about a Soviet sleep-deprivation bullshit experiment that leads to the isolated group of test subjects self-mutilating or killing each other off until the last remaining one is being remotely put down with gas or something by the observing scientists goes "no, they were almost here, we were their harbingers!" or some other trite bull like that.

The associated image is creepy and it's of what I can only assume is a burn victim of some kind but this poor mutilated nigh-skeletal human in a black and white photograph.

Might be like a post-Hiroshima picture or something, never wanted to look at it for long enough to try and find the original source.

But like I said earlier the image doesn't actually make sense within the frame of the story as told and it's just there for a cheap shock.

Wow even hearing a nonchalant description is kinda nerve racking thanks I'll be sure to never find that image!

The actual narrative is boring garbage. And, again, I'm kind of a wuss and I avoid creepy pasta (except the SCP wiki for some reason) like the plague. But I was actually angry that I had wasted my time reading that story when I was done.

But the image is just really hard to look at.
