The Foreigner (Jackie Chan, Pierce Brosnan) - Official Trailer

Rest

All these years later I still chuckle at what a fucking moron that guy is.
This looks like the Jackie Chan version of Taken.

I'm in.

Looks like a solid action flick. Nothing more, nothing less. It feels kinda odd to see a sad and serious looking Jackie Chan in a Hollywood flick. His US roles were mostly comedic (EDIT: Just found out this is a British-Chinese production).

Music choice for the trailer was horrendous, though.

A Pretty Panda

fuckin' called it, man
Do these recent Jackie Chan films get released in the US? Like I think they do but I barely hear about them unless I'm seeking them out

IN!

Jackie Antagonist Chan, now there's something you don't see every day

I don't think so. Brosnan is the antagonist, he was in some sort of terror cell. Father Chan just wants the names.

Can't remember the last "serious" Jackie Chan movie like this. Interesting to see him in a role like this. Can't wait

Pause it at 0:57...

Jackie Chan is playing a Vietnamese guy?

At first I thought it was weird the a Vietnamese guy would have such a distinct Cantonese accent, but then I remembered that there is a very large population of ethnic Chinese (Cantonese) in Vietnam.

Jackie looks OLD in this.

Rather than "taken", I'm getting "Man on Fire" vibes.

And yeah, It's super weird to see Jackie fighting like Jason Bourne.

Okay, maybe the person who made that thread about how Jackie Chan should do a movie with the John Wick directors was onto something.

Gen X

Trust no one. Eat steaks.
I would've ignored this had there not been Jackie's name in the thread title (been a fan of Jackie Chan since the 80s) but so glad his name was mentioned. Looks good. I'm in.

The one where he was taken hostage? That was pretty awesome. Was that Shinjuku Incident?
