Between the SNES Mini, the Metroid Special Edition, the Bayonetta and Metroid Amiibo the next weeks will be rough. Will be literally impossible to net preorders for everything I want.
I already missed out on two of the new Zelda Amiibos. ;_;

Hmm, perhaps the box will be in German but the games in English? Not 100% sure about that since I'm Dutch and we usually got untranslated games there in those days while Germany in many ways seem to have more advanced localization. For what it's worth, my Dutch bought NES Classic had multiple EU languages on the box including English while the games were exclusively in English.
Thanks, as long as the shell doesn't have german on it I'm good. I will probably put na innards in an eu or jpn shell.

Holy megaton. I was not expecting that calibre of titles. I'll actually need to get one this time around unlike the NES mini which I had little need for

Starfox 2 is the only thing on the system that I don't already have and probably would have bought at some point. I'm sure it's aged poorly and I've played Starfox 64, so I'll pass on this one unless I've got insomnia on release night. I'm sure it'll make a nice gift.

Has the Metroid Special Edition gone up yet?

What I want is a great, healthy Virtual Console on Switch. I don't want lots of consoles under my TV, I want to play all Nintendo games on one platform. Right now, I fear Nintendo have killed off VC alltogether.

That said, this look like a great product at a very reasonable price.

Preordered the EU version. I love that design. Hoping it doesn't get canceled since I'm in the US, but we'll see. Going to preorder the US version (when possible) just to be safe. If not canceled, I'll sell my US version to a friend for retail. F a scalper.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a pre-order in for it when it pops up. It took me so many months to get the NES Classic, and that was by sheer luck. Also very pleased this includes two controllers so my friends and I can easily play together!

Why would they do that to a good money maker? It's true that they usually drop the ball when it comes to selling these things, but I don't think VC is dead, especially if it's part of their online subscription thing

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.

Except that VC games are coming with their online service.

Oh, cool thing I want and will never be able to buy because of scalpers and Nintendo not liking to actually manufacture enough to meet demand for some reason.

Thanks Nintendo :)

Lack of DKC2 kills it for me. Well, that and the fact that I've been done playing Nintendo's games for quite a while, video and otherwise.

I definitely get where you are coming from. Having these systems come out makes me wonder what Nintendo is going to do with the virtual console going forward.

Man, I can't lie. Getting that second controller was crazy lucky. For some reason, I bought that before the actual console. I didn't think they'd be that rare honestly.

Get a second job ;)

And they never will.

Ex-fucking-actly.

Just over-produce these damn things, for once. Make them spill off the shelves everywhere you look. Let people have something nice for once. Kids ain't getting online pre-orders within minutes, or camping overnight outside a Target in September, or getting their parents to pay $400 to scalpers. Neither are the tons of casual folks who would buy these things. I would have loved for my friends and my dad to have an NES Classic, and despite trying constantly it never happened (because while I'm willing to line-up outside, I draw the line well before the 4-8 hours that were required).

Yes, I know it's unreasonable for Nintendo to deliberately over-produce. But I'm a consumer, not Nintendo, so I can wish for things that are in my interest, rather than a corporations.
