Man, T-Pain has some great feel-good songs

Been listening to older songs on Amazon Music (well I was a kid when most of this came out lol), just basking in nostalgia. Slow Jamz, Empire State of Mind, Homecoming, Fallin', etc.

Came across T-pain's older songs and I can't stop listening to "Blowing Up":

Then there's "Freeze":

"Can't believe it":

And , I mean even "Therapy":

He's talking about breaking up, telling her she's gotta go and it's still got me feeling good haha.
Used to listen to him when I was younger, but I never realized how much I liked his music.

Shit sucks, bro.

Shit sucks, bro.
What is this? lol
He ruined music. I like that he was down with MJ though.
How? And didn't know he was cool with MJ. Nice
OP, have you seen his Tiny Desk Concert on NPR?

Here is the second one he did, insane vocals. https://youtu.be/kG8_OxI0J2Y
No. I knew he could sing, but I haven't seen these before. Awesome stuff thanks for sharing.

He helped write a few (?) or rather contributed to a couple of MJ's last album during the final years. He hung out with MJ and stayed at his ranch. Never defamed the king of pop about the allegations so he's alright with me.

Eta- autotune was the epidemic and he was patient zero.

T-Pain is amazing. Haters gonna hate. Some of his songs almost sound like a Barbershop Quartet. Not to mention he and Akon changed the sound of pop/hip-hop with their use of autotune. Love it or hate it, it's still popular.

He was one of the better voices I listened and jammed to while in middle/high school. I'll always play his Tiny Desk NPR concert whenever I need a pick me up with some r&b.

His first album (Rappa Ternt Sanga) was low-key good, though. "Dance Floor" is a fun song that gets you up and movin'.

Check this out

I may or may not know all of the lyrics to his first album. Even so, "Bartender" and "Buy you a Drank" are two damn fine songs that take me back. T-Pain must not be forgotten.
