Well there goes any hope at all that this game was magically going to be a balanced team shooter, or even close to it. Hoping for modes which exclude all this stuff.

There are plenty of games that incorporate loot boxes that don't affect game balance like Overwatch and Halo. Those are fine.

Cosmetic items for microtransactions. There can be a lot of alternative clothing options for characters that fit in the Star Wars universe. It's bad when it affects the game balance, and it's OK when it's cosmetic only like Overwatch.

I guess gamers accepted COD loot boxes with new guns and gun stat boosts inside, so we're getting this shit everywhere.

'Free' maps come at a cost, at least when you aren't just remastering maps from your last game.

As much as I hate a community being divided I've really grown to loathe microtransaction heavy experiences. Being nickel-and-dimed is the antithesis of fun.

No, only skins voice lines, and the like.

If anything, some skins actually give slight disadvantages, as some of the alternative weapon skins are bigger than the original models, blocking more of the screen.

Yes. You can opt out of it though. Ranked doesn't allow gear stats to matter and in player matches both players have to opt in to a competitive mode to turn off the stats, but you do get to still use the look.

There has yet to be a single gameplay element on crates, and there won't ever be one. And every single item can be obtained through regular gameplay.

I didn't see any issues with the original game, yes I got the season pass and maybe it was a little overpriced for just some maps and extra game modes, but I would rather pay for that than have to pay for better weapons and character mods, there shouldn't be any sort of paid-for weapons or character mods anyway.
