Sidenote: DataDiscs noted that they have a bunch of new followers. Tomorrow could be a meat grinder. I know that they reprint fairly often, but still, a warning for those interested.

Just listened to the Altered Beast samples... nope this soundtrack just isn't worth the vinyl it's going to be pressed on.

I totally disagree with the quote above. Altered Beast is the game people love to hate on, but a lot of us have strong nostalgia for the game as it was the pack in for the Sega Genesis for quite some time before Sonic released.

On first glance, it's pretty annoying that Tokyo Emergency isn't part of the standard edition. They might as well have not released a track list for the Deluxe Edition, since it's already sold out.
Man, so dumb that they didn't have a track list ready for pre-orders.

not to equate quality to quantity but I could have sworn there were only 8 songs in Altered Beast. I guess it'll be surprising to me to turn the record over after like 4 songs? I'm looking forward to it either way!

Got the glow in the dark Abzu from iam8bit. Artwork and packaging seems very well done. Haven't had a chance to listen to it though.
The tracklist is up on Data Discs site - and yes, there is only 8 songs. You actually have to turn side A over after 3 songs

I have had to ask for a code for the past two orders. They said the system is automated thru Gmail and some europeans are on the US gmail server that they have no power over
if you dont see a code in the first 5 minutes, send an email to them. They usually reply within seconds. Or wait until US batch of codes.admiraltaftbar

Oh I'm US I just wasn't sure which codes were going out. The past few releases haven't been an issue for me so I'll just wait it out.

Canada's codes come with wave 1, unless you're normally a Yankee who's just visiting our fine country.
I was almost in the opposite boat: I'm leaving Canada for Vegas tonight and would've had to wake up early (and hungover) tomorrow morning if they stuck to their usual Saturday schedule

I have to say, I'm a fan of companies working together for distribution on projects like these. And I'm a bigger fan of them not price gauging past the expected vinyl game soundtrack premium.

I mainly have LEs but a few I have plain color.

Honestly its as if this collection was made for me. Sega Focused, colorful, high quality, fairly priced.
The shipping sucks a bit for expense but what can you do.

Altered Beast is already one of my "wants", so I'm super happy. But if I could pick one more Sega game, bring on Toe Jam and Earl. I need that one in my veins.
Or actually Phantasy Star. And PS2. Hell, just a PS1-4 boxset.

I bought the TG version just in case, but either way I've dug Zur's work since FO:3, so no tears shed.
100 is a wicked low number though.

I agree. It's a bad sign when you only consider buying a record to keep your spine #s unbroken. Might snag a copy from Mondo down the road.
Legit the only reason I bought this one.
Altered Beast is pretty awful in every way.
At least it isn't Alien Storm (though to be fair it may be the SFX I hate haha)
