Who has the best Twin Peaks podcast? I enjoy my podcasts and would like to pick up a TP one for the road.

There's quite a few. I listen to a bunch of them.

A Twin Peaks Podcast: A Podcast About Twin Peaks - EW, but they cover a lot of stuff.

https://art19.com/shows/twin-peaks-podcast

Damn Fine Podcast - A Twin Peaks Podcast - Not afraid to complain, but knowledgeable about the history

https://www.damnfinepodcast.com

Peaks TV - a Twin Peaks Podcast - Slightly different in that they do the show every 2 episodes, but the advantage is they have more theories to discuss as a result of the long view

https://soundcloud.com/peakstv

Twin Peaks Rewatch They get stuff wrong, but as others said, they do corrections the following week

https://www.idlethumbs.net/twinpeaks

Twin Peaks The Return: A Season Three Podcast - that have a few interviews as well (Mark Frost is the latest)

https://soundcloud.com/user-301352257

Twin Peaks Unwrapped - Long standing podcast with a lot of interviews with Lynch collaborators etc

https://twinpeaksunwrapped.podbean.com

There's more out there, but that's a start :)

Started listening to A Damn Fine Podcast a few weeks ago and it's really good. It's nice to have someone explain all the stuff that goes over my head.

Wait people think Tammy is a bad actor that's trying to hard and none of that... Tammy-ing is intentional??

I think the mindset is that because she's a sort of collaborator/muse of his on the musical side that he's just put her on the show because he can. Personally, I think with Lynch there's always intent with his decisions, so I'm less inclined at this stage to dismiss her. I mean if it was just about giving her more exposure, the best way to do that would have been to make her a regular singer at the bar as that's what she's principally known for.

Strange theory, we have no idea whatsoever that she needs bringing back...
Do you mean this as "she isn't needed for the story" or "I didn't like Audrey in the original series and don't want to see her again"?
The latter is just crazy imo but if you're saying the former--yeah I mean there are ways the story could happen without her, obviously. And maybe her having been confirmed to have filmed something only means she gets a James-style cameo. But I think it's pretty likely she'll play a big part...

BELIEVE.
I totally think this theory is right. I think Audrey is going to wake Dale up.
Then again, I was damn sure the "something missing" had to be the owl cave ring and couldn't possibly be journal pages, so.

It's a tough thing to discuss because the "bad acting" complaint has long been levied against Lynch. I would argue that the affected performance style Lynch asks for normally works because he's a fantastic director of actors and knows how to ensure even the strangest characters will seem recognizably human and real.

But he can't work magic, and Chrysta Bell sucks at acting. Tammy doesn't seem "Lynch-weird," she seems like she's trying to act that way and massively failing.

Yea, Chrysta Bell just isn't cutting it right now. Definitely a weak spot.

Nah, the smoking scene in the last episode was amazing.
I love her character...she's so weird (and beautiful). She's not the best actress of course but I think it's intentional.

edit: And Lillard was absolutely amazing in this episode. Damn.

Neither, I thought the poster was referring to her being in a coma after the bank explosion, thought he meant Jonny's death would trigger her to wake up

What a terrible episode. Everything is dragged out and lasts longer than it should. 70 percent of the scenes in this show have been "that milk will get cool on you" slow.

And I'm sick of these musical performances. Why do the episodes keep ending as if it were an episode of a teen drama on CW.

I just finished binging season 1,2 and episodes 1-7 of season 3. I really miss coop. Evil coop and can't my own shoe coop are dragging. I enjoy all the craziness and weirdness to the show, but I really felt like Coop tied everything together. I'm hoping to catch up tonight. I've heard episode 8 is another mind fuck episode.

Theory: Garland Briggs would still be alive if the actor who played him was. Him "dying" the last time we saw him in the original show is a retcon.

Also, was the guy who we saw crash and bleed and maybe dead in that weird scene in the house that 'Matthew McConaughey if he was on drugs and 25 years younger' looking guy?

I agree with the first part

And the "crash and bleed" man is Johnny Horne

I think Tammy is kind of great now. She seems like a genuinely kind and well intentioned person just in that weird off putting OTT Lynch way that contrasts hilariously with Gordon, Albert and particularly Dianne.

Does anyone know the title of the next episode?
I know that episode 11 is called "Let's rock" (oh boy!!!!).

I have a weird feeling that "Let's Rock" will come from Jennifer Jason Leigh or Tim Roth's characters when they're ready to move in on Dougie + Janey E

But then the cobra will strike again.

Hopefully.

Evolution of The Arm pls halp

Why aren't we talking more about the greatest love story of all time about to start between Albert and Punny Morgue Lady?
I kind of fan girl during that moment. I've really liked the morgue/detective lady this season and it makes perfect sense that they would be into each other

Laura is the one

Wait, really? The next episode is about Laura (even if it's only one minute, lol)? My god....

Interesting. Tim Roth was awesome, lol. Well, he's always awesome I guess.

The next couple episode titles sound like we're in for some fun times, Part 11 is titled, "Laura is the one.", then Part 12 is, "Let's rock!", and the last one we know is Part 13 is titled, "What story is that, Charlie?"

It seems like the next two episodes will reveal a lot of important things.

Not quite:

Part 10 - Laura is the one
Part 11 - There’s fire where you are going
Part 12 - Let's Rock

I'm going to have to re-watch this week's episode. I swear I saw Sheryl Lee/Laura Palmer in the end credits, but racking my brain, can't remember seeing her.

I'd had a couple of drinks, mind. :)

Just rewatched part 9. I cannot tell if Bill says 20 or 29, and closed captions just say 'indistinct mumbling'. I think I am leaning back to 29 again.

Hah.

My biggest problem with Tammy is that I listened to the Secret History of Twin Peaks before the new series and Tammy Preston is the agent exploring the dossier. The woman who reads her part has a wry wit and set the tone for the character in my mind. She's much less of a weirdo and more down to earth.

I mean, she doesn't really do anything to be honest. She's just kind of there.

I like to think that all the Lincoln imagery in this season is retroactively amplifying the importance of Ben Horne's Civil War subplot, ie. Twin Peaks' single best subplot. Bobby-E Lee, people. It's all connected.
