A very mixed bag. It's the narrative, acting and story that makes the game worthwhile while the FPS action and stealth is mediocre at best. A few horror-ish moments too but it's mostly a walking sim about discovering the truth about what's going on. Worth giving a shot at the right price if you're not the kind of person who needs pretty and super polished games but there are times when it just doesn't really hold up as a "game".

Not sure if I would recommend it to anyone but I'd say I enjoyed it overall, just not 100% of the time.

Cool. I'm kinda waiting on confirmation that we aren't getting a physical NA release of it, before I order the PAL version.

I wasn't expecting too much, I just like most horror games. I'm aware it's a budget title so it would be kinda unfair to not be expecting some level of jank.

For the Walmart clearance stuff was it tagged that way on the shelf or just ring up that way? Everything here (Quebec City) seems normal price.

Edit. Rang everything up. It’s all normal price. Got a Luigi wiimote for $20 though.

I was hanging out with a friend last night and we were talking about how insufferable a lot of people are online, either in multiplayer or message boards. Even on here I have to be very selective about which threads I click, especially OT side.


This place is my safe space on here. I can get along with all of you. We're all Canadians looking for deals and looking out for each other. Whats not to like

1) Persona 5
2) Yakuza 0
3) Zelda Breath of the Wild
4) Horizon
5) Snipperclips

Splatoon 2 will surely be on there, don't know where yet. Also, the top 3 is a pretty tough call. Unsure where everything slots. I enjoyed Persona 4 more than I did 5, there's just something about the atmosphere in Persona 4 and its setting, the music, the characters... I also loved Breath of the Wild but didn't like the lack of dungeons and music. I actually preferred Skyward Sword in that regard (but I was one of those who were satisfied with Skyward Sword). Yakuza 0 was also great. Loved all 3 games and they're pretty equal to me. All just shy of being clear-cuts #1 games.

Yea the story hasn’t grabbed me yet and like I said everything is so richly detailed I find it hard to focus on one thing. It’s a lot better on the 4K TV, I think the increased pixel count and clarity helps in this regard. I’ll keep trying to return to it, maybe one day it will click.
As for the PS4 being an exclusive box, The Last of Us and Uncharted 4 have already satisfied me. Between God of War, Days Gone, Spiderman, Detroit, Death Stranding, The Last of Us 2... etc all have me pumped and my Pro purchase, fucking $565, already feels like a great value. Sony Studios do cinematic/narrative blockbusters right, it’s the one thing Xbox can’t seem to do. But I didn’t want to bring that shit into this thread, that’s why I didn’t give you an in-depth explanation of why I prefer to play on Xbox when you asked me earlier. Because this thread is very much free of the console wars bullshit and I’ve never felt any animosity here, “hey etta, you shat on the PS4 controller/PSN/dashboard, you must be a hater!!”. Nah, people are open minded here, they discuss like they would in person and think things through before throwing accusations.

I'm definitely happy with the Pro, too. I really am conflicted on if I want the One X, though, mostly because it would eat a good chunk of my actual game budget for the fall. But then it's very likely the Pro-enhanced games will look better on the One X, and that plays on my mind, haha. But then the One X also has a few of the Canadian streaming apps that look like they're never coming over to PS4.

It also doesn't help that I'm awful at decisions.

But yeah, I like how nice this thread is, it's a breath of fresh air.

I don’t think anyone should spend $600 CAD on the Xbox One X if they already have and are perfectly happy with playing on a Pro. The difference will be so negligible, checkerboarded 1800p vs checkerboarded 2160p, or checkerboarded vs native, maybe some extra bladesof glass here and there, it’s definitely not enough to spend that much money unless it brings something else to the table like the controller or you have other friends getting it so you can play together.

That's a good point. And with Xbox One and PS4 being the standards still, I imagine it'll only be a little higher from the Pro in advanced settings stuff, especially as someone with 1080p still. Faster loading times, too. But yeah, looking at my Amazon orders, it's a hard thing to cancel any of those, haha. You have convinced me!

I know there are/were some U.S. versions of the app, but I would occasionally like to be able to watch a show on my television rather than a phone or tablet.

I've never seen anything other than iOS. Even the smart tv app I saw didn't work.

Apparently you can switch your Xbox One's region settings to US, download it, and then switch it back to Canada and still log in. Haven't tried it myself though

Would this work with the WWE Network too? Anyone know for sure?

When I had a PS4, I could watch the Network through a US account, but couldn't access the app through my regular Canadian one.

If you create a free random US account on PSN, download the Prime Video app and then log out, go over to your actual account, and you can watch all of Canada's Prime stuff then! So it's sort of like the Xbox way.

But if you delete that US account, you can't access Prime Video, then, weirdly enough.

A fine point! Yep totally.

I was hoping they'd have some surprise AAA exclusive or two to really show off the supposed power bump of the console. The One S is still the best value in that lineup.

That stopped working for me, for some reason, recently. Couldn't get any content to show or everything said unavailable as if I wasn't logged in. Then switched to the app on my newish Samsung TV and it worked!

I have only played P5 to the second palace then stopped... Will eventually resume it. Haven't got Horizon ZD yet. I've only done one ending of NieR Automata, and I beat FE Echoes, but I dunno if I'd place them top 5... FFXII HD is possible, but odds are Splatoon 2 is gonna cruise into the #4 slot next week.

They forgot to lock my TMN/HBO Go account when I cancelled most of my cable a month back, haha, so that's how I plan on watching it.

But for non-subscribers I think the only way is the nefarious ways, isn't it? Or does iTunes put it up the next day?

I talked to a Amazon rep about A40 TR Headset + MixAmp™ Pro TR for PC, Mac and PS4,PC - Black - Black Edition, specifically about if the Mixamp came with the headset.

Last week, a rep told me a Mixamp was included. Today, a rep said this:

I tried to cancel my order, but a couple of hours later it shipped. I will receive it Friday...

I should have bought one of the 598s and a Mod Mic (even though I really wanted the closed back. which sold out before I knew it was on sale) lol

You should ask if you can get the amp separately. lol

The 598 has gone on sale before, so I'm sure it'll return eventually at Black Friday or some other made up sale day.
