How would that count as a subversion? The first shot in and of itself is indistinguishable from "real" fanservice because it's so typical of the medium, and the completely unnecessary openings after the fact where underage butt and boob are still visible don't particularly say or do anything narratively. All they do is act as ways for the audience to have their cake and eat it too. Sure, these are effectively Transformers, but they've still got the goods for the omnipresent audience.
I mean, I guess you can make an argument that the juxtaposition is inherently silly, but...that's not really a subversion so much as it's stupid? A subversion, to me, would be the uncomfortable lead-up in the gif joe2817 posted but with none of the sexual pay-off: she grabs her shirt suggestively before we go through a G-rated Transformers routine. But as it stands now, this shit is only different insofar as now it's girls transforming into vehicles, and knowing anime I'm sure that this has been done before in exactly the same way somewhere or another.
I sure indeedly am not. As I said in the other thread, I have higher standards than this. I will also say again, fuck otaku culture.

A this point anime making fun of anime isn't even a subversion but a trope itself, and one that honestly has very little depth. Just because you point and say "lol isn't it funny how everything is just like this?" and then do the same thing doesn't make you above it all. In fact it almost makes you worse because you're aware of how samey it all is yet you continue to do it because it sells. It doesn't even feel like a critique or commentary on the medium if it's just a fucking gag.
