I added a Bose SoundLink Mini to my Work/Gaming setup. It is working out great. One day I'll get a new desk or build one.

I know this setup isn't anything special but I am moving on to bigger and better things in 2 weeks and I thought it would be fun to share my crappy basement apartment gaming space before its gone! I do have some cool stuff here, like signed photographs of Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr and Brett Favre.

Many hours of playing PC (now also Switch) games and watching sports have taken place in this spot so it is special to me! Doing a bit of both right now in fact...

Sublime.

Trying to convince my wife to buy a similar desk, but I only fail.

Maybe I just have to buy it and see what happens afterwards.

Since the year's more than halfway over already I might as well post my setup for now:

ASUS VH236H monitor
Audio Technica ATH-AD700 headphones
Creative T40 speakers
2013 Corsair K70 keyboard w/ Cherry MX brown switches
Logitech G400s mouse

PC specs:
Intel Core i7 7700K @ 4.8ghz | Noctua NH-D14 | Asus Maximus IX Hero | 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 3200mhz 14-14-14-34-2T | 1TB Samsung 960 Pro | EVGA 3GB GTX 780 Ti + hi-flow bracket | Seasonic X750 | CaseLabs Merlin SM8 | X-Fi Titanium HD | Win 10 Pro 64-bit

320gb PS3 slim to the right
Hp Envy 4512 printer to the far right

I've wanted a simple setup for some time, and when the wife and I bought a house, I started looking for a wall mount for the PS4. This is what it looks like.

I buy most of my games digitally now, and most of my collection have either been sold, or are in boxes, so this is adequate enough.

This looks incredible. Very nice.

Is there a reason why you didn't rotate the console 90 degrees clockwise so the cords went out the bottom and you could have run them through the already existing railing for the TV cords?

It was an esthetic wrestle: The PS-logo being turned 90 degrees would be far more upsetting to me personally than the current setup.

And thank you, I'm pretty satisfied with it!

Don't mind the cables still need to find some time to clean it up.

You know, while someone might say it's pointless to wallmount a PS4 while you could have it in the bookshelf, I think it's really cool. It shows that 'this thing is powering this experience'. Love it.

As we recently moved into a new house we decided to put the TV in the basement and setup a gaming room.
55 inch LG OLED with Xbox One slim and PSVR (all required cables and PS Move are in the box aside), PS4 Pro and docked Switch + CRT for retro gaming sessions :
All other consoles, games and accessories are stored on the side of the room. For each console, cables and pads are stored in a box just beside (with the largest boxes for the Dreamcast and the N64):
Zoom on the console shelves with a peek at some of my games:

Still debating on wall-mounting the TV. Once settled, I will work on how to display my handleds, pads and which pictures to frame to bring some much needed colors in the room!

Just purchased a Bekant desk from IKEA in white, such a simple design yet a wonderful upgrade over my old staples desk from 15 years ago.

Will post a pic later, yet it holds nothing against some of the battle stations you guys have.

I know it's nothing special, but this is a tremendous improvement over what I used to have in my office. Replaced that deathadder with a logitech g900 last night as well.

Bought a nice white IKEA tv stand yesterday, and it's going to house my 55" ks8000, going to set it up right next to my battlestation.

I got a new monitor stand from Aliexpress and it's rock solid. Also upgraded my G500 to a G900. Pretty barebones for a student apartment otherwise.

Can't wait to move into a new place in two years.

Bookshelves are for books ;) The main idea was to avoid having a TV-unit beneath the TV. The house is quite small, so we had to make solutions with as little clutter as possible.

The new(er) PC setup. Still need to sort the cables on the bottom and also make a little platform for the PC so it's not sitting directly on the ground.

why do people put the pc on the desk? I don't get it. It's like having this big wall in the middle of your work-space.

It's way easier to access if you often tinker with the insides. I used to have it on the desk for at least ten or so years as I was swapping h/w in it on pretty much weekly basis.

Plus:
  • More room for my feet
  • Less dust and easier cleaning
  • No more access to cables and power switch for my toddlers

swapping hw on a weekly basis is probably an extreme case.

I leave my tower on the desk as well since I worked pretty hard to put it together..

I'll post pics of my setup this weekend.

Just some basic cell phone pics but it'll do. I might add something a little more dramatic later.

This is from the perspective of the chair you'll see in the next photo. Roommate in the background for size reference. It's a 110" projector screen. I don't think this picture really does it justice though because a typical cell phone lens has a much wider field of view than our eyes do. The screen occupies the majority of your field of vision.

The wood/black leather chair is where I usually sit when I'm playing. I'm probably going to mount the switch to the wall at some point so the cables don't stretch across like they do now. A work in progress, but I think it's a nice setup overall.

My room in our new condo.

Had to build the customer "desk" since I didn't have much room in the corner without covering the window. And I HAD to have the desk facing the TV while still maintaining prime chair real estate for console gaming on the TV. So this is what I got. Not the ideal PC gaming setup but it works for the types of PC games I play. I dont sit at it and game for long hours.

nice. I like people who use creative ways to make their feng shui work.

I also have that window problem but thankfully my computer isn't in a room where I need to watch a TV.
