So, what's your Jawmuncher Franchise?

Daimakaimura (Ghosts N' Goblins). Hell, I'd even take a Maximo (though I'd prefer MediEvil if I had to choose). I think it's a great series, but many don't.

For something more universally B-Tier, I'd say Goemon/Mystic Ninja.

In 2017 it feels like Mega Man has become that for me :|

In a bigger picture the Golden Sun series, I still will sing it's praises whenever anyone asks about it and I'm dying for a 4th entry to continue the plot where Dark Dawn ended and yes Dark Dawn was amazing screw all you haters.

I actually really enjoyed the reboot. But I can understand why you didn't with your detailed post. It did change a lot of what the originals were about and basically only kept the hockey mask guy kills stuff and not much more. Still it's interesting for what it was. Would be great to see another attempt at something more like the original though.

.
The glory kills in it were incredibly repetitive.

Sly Cooper.

I recognize they're not the best games in the world but I love them so much. Especially Sly 2. I enjoyed the latest one too. Need more.

Who is jawmuncher? Are they a gaffer or something? Anyway, I would say Castlevania. Just feels like the series is dead especially after Lords of Shadows 2 bombed and I know Konami won't sell the ip. I just want one more good 2d Castlevania game and I'm afraid its never gonna happen.

Am I crazy or was that the Skittles RPG?

You're thinking of Darkened Skye.
Summoner was a Volition PS2 Launch RPG (Also on PC).

The glory kills in it were incredibly repetitive.

They could be. Though i'm also the guy in God of War who will keep pressing grab on enemies and tearing them apart so I usually can look pass the repetitive nature if it looks cool.
Outside the one enemy where you shove your hand up it's ass and pull out it's guts. Could never get over that one.

Megaman Starforce.

I would say dot hack but thats actually getting a game with new content very soon, so it's not a dead franchise any more.

Boss Doggie

all my loli wolf companions are so moe
Valkyrie Profile.

Where art thou, VP Hrist?

Valkyrie Profile. 2 of my favorite games a good SRPG and then nothing until a mobile gacha. The world is truly a sad place.

hello bro!

Edit: ah it must noy be good? Hmmm...

Actually I can't think of any :D

Legacy of Kain / Soul Reaver

I always loved those games and I'll continue to love them. Even if they never were as successfull as they should have been.
And with Crystal Dynamics being more like Tomb Dynamics, we'll likely never see a proper sequel ...

Runner's up:

(Descent) Freespace

I love space sims/shooters. And I finished both games about 10 times in total. The ships were cool, the missions were awesome and unpredictable and it was just so so much fun.

Dino Crisis 3
hue

ok, actually Saint Seiya Sanctuary Battle for the PS3, I really wish they made the other games like that instead of dull animu 3d fighting games

MMarston

Was getting caught part of your plan?
I'm with Jaw here. It's Dino Crisis for me.

Very few know the pain of Dylan waiting for seventeen years within the exact same second we left him.

That, and we just need more proper survival horror/action dino games in general.

LOST KINGDOMS, BABY. First game; dope, second game; even more dope. The series had so much potential on stronger hardware and even had some design space for some cool ass multiplayer (LKII had MP, but it was kinda rough). From Software will probably never go back to it because of the Souls games, but I would lose my damn mind for another entry in the series. I mean, why aren't there more action RPGs where you make a YuGiOh style deck that actually summons the monsters on the cards to fight for you/ allows you to transform into the monsters?

Shadow Hearts is one of those franchises that is close to my heart and that I find painful to think about because the chances of another entry is almost zero. Sucks the rights are just being sat on at this point. Covenant was truly special.

Other than that I have been a huge fan of the Golden Sun games in spite of their many many problems and kinda want a sequel to Dark Dawn. And I hold out hope that Zero Escape will continue in some capacity. I wasn't on Gaf at the time, but I actually cried in line for a movie at SXSW when Zero Time Dilemma was finally announced at Anime Expo last year. I watched the trailer so many times and it almost made up for that teaser site. I was elated those games had an audience on Gaf because I would basically force my friends to play it so I had someone to talk to about them.

Darkstalkers. Game needs a next gen sequel but Capcom are in no shape to make it as good

Little Big Adventure. If done right it has the potential to be one of the best adventure games.

Creatures. A 3d rendition would revitilise the franchise. Too bad Creatures Online was canned.

James Bond games. Goldeneye, World Is Not Enough, Nightfire, Agent Under Fire, From Russia with Love, even Goldeneye Reloaded was pretty fun. There's a lot of potential just sitting there.

Oh also Lost Kingdoms. Hundred of hours in both games. Jesus.

I think it'll have to be the Shining Force series. I constantly replayed Shining Force, Shining Force 2, Shining Force: The Sword of Hayja, and Shining Force CD throughout my gaming lifetime. Sadly, I never played Shining Force 3.

Man would I just love for another entry in the Shining Force series or at least somehow bring Shining Force 3 to modern platforms.

One of few shoot 'm up titles I kept buying just because it was so cute. I'd get a new entry day 1

Came to post Outrun (my no. 1 pick), Castlevania, Mega Man, Panzer Dragoon and Secret of Mana until I saw the edit about the games not being really good.

Hmm, maybe Grandia, which I adore for its atmosphere and sense of adventure but always burn out of due to the combat encounter rate and maze-like areas?

For me SiN, a 1998 FPS that in my opinion is better than Half-Life. It had strong characters, huge non-linier environments, loads of gameplay variety and a level of interactivity not seen before. It received an add-on pack called Wages Of SiN in 1999 and then radio silence until 2006 when SiN: Episode 1 was realised, and that's all we got as Ritual Entertainment got bought by Mumbo Games and focused on casual games.

I had read somewhere last year (I can't find the source) that a developer, may even be Ritual, had started to look at bringing SiN back. Can anybody help me find the source?
