So, what's your Jawmuncher Franchise?

LOST KINGDOMS, BABY. First game; dope, second game; even more dope. The series had so much potential on stronger hardware and even had some design space for some cool ass multiplayer (LKII had MP, but it was kinda rough). From Software will probably never go back to it because of the Souls games, but I would lose my damn mind for another entry in the series. I mean, why aren't there more action RPGs where you make a YuGiOh style deck that actually summons the monsters on the cards to fight for you/ allows you to transform into the monsters?

Melee-style Smash I guess. Super Monkey Ball might be closer to being mine depending on the definition, I'm not as passionate about it as SSBM, but it's more niche and lacking as many dedicated fans clamoring it to come back, which is similar to Jawmuncher with Dino Crisis (i.e. there are fans who want the series to come back, but most if not all of them lack the dedication and desire Jawmuncher has).

Strider was mine, and then Strider 2014 came out and taught me that even the wildest dreams can become reality.

If I had to say something now, it'd probably be Metroid.

Megaman X. The X is important here...., I'm not the biggest fan of the classic Megaman's, but the X series is my favorite game series of all time.

X-Men Legends

Wheres number 3

for fucks sake

Yo!!!! I fucking like you!!! Seriously I can't believe there's more of us out there lol. I adore X-Men Legends 2 so much man. It's nice to see that someone else shares my misery haha. My answer is still Megaman X, but the X-Men Legends series is a close second. And no Marvel Ultimate Alliance does not cut it. Those games aren't even half as good as X-Men Legends 2, and I say that as someone who adores the Ultimate Alliance games. Legends 2 is just straight up perfection.

Gen X

Trust no one. Eat steaks.
The Last Ninja. So disappointed that all attempts at reboots have failed although to be honest the first planned reveal was the same time as the Ninja Gaiden Xbox reveal and TLN paled in comparison.

I think mine is Baten Kaitos 1 + 0

.- I will not stop commenting on it whenever the chance araises, I'll pretend is something people remember and care about

.- I know it can't be any more dead, it will never come back in any shape or form.

.- I'd pester and bug nintendo's email and twitter accounts daily for a 1+ 0 compilation for switch, if it happened, I'd buy it ten times and gift to my friends.

Pilotwings, for the beautiful sense of freedom it gave to me at the time. While PC sims focused on combat or having you become a proficient airline pilot, PW 64 let you fly in the sunset with a bird suit.

Not holding my hopes up, Nintendo even chose to not include OG into SNES mini.

Shadow of Rome, which few seem to remember. It was a great action game with some mediocre (though entertaining in their own right) stealth sections set in ancient Rome.

The main portion of the game takes place alternately in the gladiatorial arenas (where the protagonist fights for the honor of killing the late Julius Caesar's murderer, the accused of which happens to be the protagonists father) and in the streets and government offices of Rome (where the deuteragonist--a young man and close relation of Caesar--searches for the truth behind his killing).

The gladiator gameplay was stellar, and the graphics and artstyle were really good for the PS2. Alas, it flew under everyone's radars and sold like doodoo. The planned sequel got turned into Dead Rising, which I also like, but for different reasons (the combat of Dead Rising--though novel and fun to mess around with--doesn't hold a candle to Shadow of Rome).

Remember me and Mirror's Edge are fitting that description to me.

I love both to death and dearly hope for them to get a second iteration.

DMC needs to come back after the mediocre reboot and decade of lying dormant with only one life injection (DMC4SE). It needs to prove that Bayonetta is no longer queen.

Haha, "Jawmuncher franchise." You could also make a thread about "Jawmuncher characters," being cut characters you passionately want to bring back, in his case Snake in Smash.

Like him, I definitely want more action RE -- the continuation of RE6, with tons of awesome characters and creatures and conspiracies and balls-to-the-wall combat and mobility. Revelations 3 will hopefully go all-in on this model and get a budget to match.

And yes, I also hope Snake returns in Smash Switch!

Huh? Never been more confused by a thread in my life.

What dormant/dead franchise are you crazy passionate over, basically.

Mine would be Alundra, but I mean the proper Alundra game and not that fuckawful sequel. I would give one of my balls for an HD remaster and a proper sequel.

I'd have to with Shinobi. I've been in love with the franchise since it debuted in arcades. While I feel the past few releases were subpar, the potential will always be there for a kick ass ninja game. If only Sega would get Platinum to do a new game.

I love the fact that this thread is a thing. Jaw's localized fame is one of the best things about GAF.

And it's gotta be Bangai-O for me, definitely. Wouldn't have made this thread otherwise.

This is also an amazing pick for a game to Jawmuncher over. Character action bomberman needs to come back.

Until Nier Automata came out and was well received, it was Nier. Was evangelical about it and was desperate for a reboot/remaster at the very least, but fortunately they went a few steps further!

LA Noire is mine, easily. I love that game so much flaws and all and sing it's praises to anyone who will listen.

I just want that remaster to be real ;-;

FFT for sure. At the first optional battlefield I've leveled to 99, got all the jobs for the starring characters them went to the first battlefield that has a lower level tile, lowered my level as calculators all the way down and then leveled to 99 again as the strongest possible classes for the hero characters. That was an interesting summer

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
This, and Suikoden

Recently I've begun singing praises for Trails too, but in my heart I know it's just my Suikoden rebound

I also actually like The Compilation of Final Fantasy VII.

Streets of Rage for me. Been waiting since the Saturn days 🙈

I was dieing for a new Onimusha but Nioh has scratched that itch for me. And I'm quite happy with that as a replacement.

Plus recently, one of my dreams came true with the full reveal of a new Street Fighter EX in the form of EX Fighting Layer. Bring on April Fools 2018!
