It is known. They've been doing it for decades, especially in South America. Anyone who doesn't believe this is kidding themselves and needs to read a book or two.

Yes, but we are the ones who do the fucking, not the ones who get fucked.

Well at least until that orange piece of shit and his master.

OK.

Edit: I would also not fault any of those countries for objecting to US meddling in their elections, or for people in those countries to oppose parties who worked in conjunction with the US to influence their elections.

We are the worlds parents sometimes ya gotta do as I say not as I do you know. Fucking kids. One more word and you're getting invaded.

it's no big deal. Just secret arms deals, military training, sponsoring campaigns and the occasional assassinations.

Yup, there are a more than a couple of dictators that have seized power from democratically elected leaders in their respective countries with he backing of the United States. Not sure if many Americans realise how much grief their country has caused in so many foreign nations.

reason why I scoff at the notion that the mean old russian hackers somehow decided the 2016 us election. one because they didn't and two because it pales in comparison to the previous actions of our own state.

I mean, Western meddling in post-war Berlin and pretty much every Iron Curtain or remotely left-leaning international election was pretty much the first of the shots fired in the Cold War.

I don't think they "decided" the US election... but they did directly meddle and moved the needle a little bit, yes?

I don't disagree that the US is not innocent in doing similar things.

If the list is so broad that they're going to include places like the UK, I'd like to know what their standards are. Problem?

It's good to know the standard for meddling but your tone was extremely dismissive, which is jarring considering we all know the US has done incredibly heinous shit to instil a leader they like.

Assassinations and breeding civil wars which led to the deaths of tens if not hundreds of thousands of people is a little worse than Russia spamming the internet with fake news.
