I'm going to go ahead and assume y'all are being cute and talking about the anime.
You should see it, pretty darn good movie. Doesnt require knowledge of the rest of DC's stuff and takes place in a different time period than the others anyways. Also if you like Spiderman the new one is really good imo.
You don't need any investment in the universe or characters to enjoy it. It is just an extremely well made popcorn film, and everything you need to know is presented in the film.
And yes, it is awesome to see a strong female led film, and from a female director to boot.
Please come back and let us know what you thought of it when you are done.
Wonder Woman is a good film. It shares much in common with the super hero films you listed, but the tone, message and emphasis on characters and relationships set it apart from them. There's a framing device that takes up <3 minutes of screen time that references BvS, but you'll understand it even without having seen it. Otherwise, it's very much a stand alone film.
My wife is not really a fan of super hero movies, and she liked it enough to see twice, FWIW.
Personally, it's my favorite film so far this year.
You certainly won't have any problems getting into the story, there are some links to the larger DC universe (some Batman references basically) but it is a very inviting movie. Nethertheless, it is a very earnest superhero tale, in the tradition of Superman 1978, Captain America and Spider-Man, which you liked. Might as well give it a shot. I don't think it's one of the bests in the genre but I haven't come across anyone who strongly disliked it. It's a rather safe bet for any moviegoer.
Early Friday #s
Dunkirk: $19.5-22M
Girls Trip: $12.5M

That's actually pretty good number for Girl's Trip and Poor for Valerian. Doesn't look like it will hit $15 million.Early Friday #s

$12.5M would be fantastic for Girls Trip; Bad Moms had a $9.5M OD (with $2M in previews).
More like this generation's Speed Racer.
Yeah, Girls Trip is going to not only do better than I think many expected, but I think those legs are gonna be long, too.
More like this generation's Speed Racer.
You didn't believe me when i said the same thing?
I can see it.Cult classic?

I don't pay a lot of attention to you old man, I musta missed it. Too busy congratulating myself on how clever my NeoGAF.com posts always are.
They really improved the graphics for Mass Effect Andromeda but the animation is still really off
Not sure if the budget is accurate here.
Luc Besson must have a shit load of money because there is no way this is making it all back. That is the number i always see 200 mil. The most expensive french movie ever
Not sure if the budget is accurate here.
But Jupiter Ascending was from Warner Bros. who just love to finance some bombs. I am trying to figure out who financed Valerian since it was no big Hollywood studio atleast. And Jupiter Ascending not too long ago.
These studios really never learn. You're not suddenly going to create the next Star Wars... Until you do I guess... and then you're a genius. But until then these will continue to bomb.
Damn did they wait too long for the Apes movie?
Rihanna is the reason these movies keep bombing.

She was not bad in Bates Motel.Rihanna is the reason these movies keep bombing.
while ignoring the quiet voice in the back of my head telling me what a horrendous waste of time I'm committing every time I come in here.
So does he put a bag over Cillian Murphy's head in this like their previous films? You would just waste that time doing something else of little productivity. The law of the internet.
Dunkirk is definitely worth seeing on the big screen. Nolan films also shouldn't be allowed to have characters with masks conceiling their faces while delivering dialogue.

No, but I think I understood about 5 words out of Tom Hardy's mouth. Luckily, this film would have worked almost as well with zero dialogue.
No, but that would've been so cool.Does it sound like its coming from another dimension, like Bane's voice?
Eyebrow people unite!I'm pretty sure the endgame for the Hardy/Nolan partnership is the former spouting literal gibberish in a leading role and getting nominated for best actor. Dem eyebrows alone deserve it.
Unless your Cilian Murphy. I understood him completely in Batman. You would just waste that time doing something else of little productivity. The law of the internet.

YEah. She's not actually a bad actress. She just chooses poor roles/ only is offered these rolesI liked her in Battleship, hell i liked the movie way more then i thought i would
She's shockingly crap, don't understand why she ever gets cast. I like Cara but even her .. the whole cast is shite.
Save for the beautiful Clive Owen.

That would have been a Prestige level long game given how old B-G-E's account is and his post count prior to spending more time in these threads.
