Loofah vs. Wash Cloth: How do you shower?

Personally, I go with the towel-like loofah (looks like a towel with an abrasive side and soft side) for body, and wash cloth for ears. I don't see how people use just a towel. I always have to keep applying more and more soap to mine after every body part. They just seem like a waste.

Unless you work on a farm you don't need to use soap.

If I was single and had all the shelf space in the world I'd use a bar of soap but its much easier to have liquid soap in the shower so I use that with a loofah

What do you think soap does?

Cleans, but also holds onto the dirt and grime you're coating it with when you apply it directly to your body. A wash cloth or loofah acts as another (washable) vector that lets you apply soap to your body without holding on to the bacteria you're trying to remove in the first place.

It's not rocket science.

Both are unsanitary. They collect debris and bacteria and moisture and just hang out over time, putrefying.

You should just use soap and water. Soap is chemically sufficient to bind to debris and dead skin and wash it off. No abrasive surface is necessary.

Soap is chemically designed to be ambiphillic, meaning it collects oily/fatty grime but also dissolves away with water. It doesn't hold on to any of your skin. It rinses off with water.

I mean, according to one of my girl friends during freshman year of college, it wasn't uncommon for a lot of girls to just shower once or twice a weeks, with sprits of perfume in between. My ex used to do this and I hated it -_-

Have you ever tried different scented soaps? I personally love the way Dove For Men's Aqua Impact and Clean Comfort smell.

Oh for sure. I always have different kinds of soaps lying around the linen closet. I use Dove when I want to feel sexy and clean and Irish Spring for nostalgia reasons.

Wash rag

People in here just use soap? No rag or loofah? How the hell do you wash ya ass?
Probably using the bar of soap...

lmao nice. I used to use Dove for Women and Irish Spring, but I couldn't stand the way they smelled. Irish Spring has that really strong "this is a product for MEN!" scent while Dove has a strong smell as it starts to get smaller.

Loofah and body wash. Separate towel for my ass.

First time hearing about people using soap directly. Trying to figure out how that works without the soap being gritty as fuck
