I actually hope Sony doubles down on making horribly tone deaf and insensitive marketing for Emoji. What's the worst thing the emoji movie could reference in the same style they referenced the handmaiden's tale?

Pulp Fiction is nowhere near a cultural sensitive story as Handmaid's Tale. It's basically "What if Feminism lost?"
I think the issue is that The Handmaid's Tale is about, you know, the forced subservience and rape of women in a society that seems like one we could be headed towards.
It's also about motherhood and shit but that's neither here or there.
It's not worth being "outraged" about but I think it's fair to call it out for being tasteless.

I am really enjoying the fact that we are four days away from release and there are no reviews for this film out yet.
This film is trash and the studio knows it. Though with only a $50M budget it seems unlikely to flop, unless everybody en masse doesn't buy into this crap like they've did with Transformers 5.

Not completely farfetched if you've read any stories from women within...harsh religious families. Look up the fundamentalists who are apart of the 'quiverfull' movement, their bullshit reads pretty similar.
Handmaidens Tale is a great show but incredibly depressing to watch. On the other hand you think to yourself "There are people watching this that don't think this would be so bad."
