In-N-Out Burgers not coming east. Steak N Shake still secretly the best.

I want one in Colorado. I mean, even tho when I went back to CA I was disappointed after not having one in over a year. But still, I blame that on still being drunk and on the verge of hurling from the night before.

Don't worry, I'll vouch for them.
Yeah. That's the only way to have it that's worthwhile though. Which is kind of a cheat since it has nothing to do with the burger itself, and is only about a topping. INO standard double double is a pretty blah meal.

Five Guys though.

I feel like I should try them again because people seem to love them, but when I have had them before they were just bland greasy patties of meat that weren't great. Plus I can get a better burger at a bar for around the same price.

In-N-Out's have been popping up more and more over Texas. It's cool, but I'm still more surprised Whataburger hasn't moved to the coasts yet.
I ate at a whataburger in Florida I only saw one though, they are not wrong about wanting a in-n-out burger more since it's not everywhere at least for me.

Culver's is good as well but honestly for a good burger that's not super expensive in-n-out is tops. Imho

The article says their expansion to Houston is new for Texas yet there are a few In-N-Outs near me in Austin.

It's amazing that this town has Whataburger, Fuddruckers, Five Guys, Shake Shack and INO. It feels like I entered the cheat code to unlock all burger restaurants.

Yeah we've got some in Dallas. Denton just had one built like 4 months ago, too

Also Culvers is in flower mound and god damn. The people who praise culvers are correct

In N Out has a really good burger *for the price* and has probably the worst fast food fries in existence. Only Carls/hardees is maybe worse and I haven't had that shit in like 5 years so I don't remember.

Of course they want to keep it on the West coast. The only thing about In-n-Out that is special is it's exclusivity.

But yeah.. I mean... it's a fresh burger. Nothing special about it. Just tastes good to me and the only fast food joint I find worth going to for a burger. Any place can do it... or cook a burger at home in a pan. Shit, that's even better than any fast food joint. Now I want a burger, goddammit.

Why do people continuously compare In-N-Out to chains that cost 2 times more? Like seriously, that Habit Burger nod on the first page? I got a combo from them and it cost $10.50, literally how much I would spend at Outback or something, lol

It's pretty much a Wendy's burger. Just go to Wendy's.
Dear God, no it's not lol

Nah I like them plain, they taste healthier and more homemade than any other fries from fast food joint.
Pretty much. They're similar to McDonald's in terms of size and crispness, but they taste absolutely fresh with better texture and flavor.

Californian here. It's a good burger, a cut above most other drive-through hamburger places, but that's all. Everything else is just aggressive regionalism.

No matter what state you live in you can probably get as good a burger somewhere else.

I actually like their fries tho

Ain't ever getting something better than a Double Double Animal Style for ~$3.50.

Can't wait until the begging pays off to bring one to Colorado.

Also if they could build it in close proximity to my work that would be great.

I always look forward to having this when I travel, but I honestly do like it better than any 'comparable' options located near me.

We have In-N-Out in southern Oregon. It's also in Arizona, Nevada, Texas, etc. Never even heard of Burgerville.

Piggus, were you in Eugene during the time they had an In-N-Go near the VRC? It was a blatant ripoff of In-N-Out and then they got sued to high heaven, I believe.

Culver's > Five Guys > Wendy's

Carl's/Hardee's is fucking disgusting

Wendy's burgers honestly are pretty damn good though. It does seem to vary by location quite a bit. A good one they make sure they have a good LTO set on there and some of them they just don't give a fuck.

The burgers at In-N-Out are pretty good, and can be great if you catch them on the right day and eat it while it's fresh, but the fries are terrible and that I just can't abide.

Not missing that much tbh. One opened literally right next to my apt complex and I go about once a month or so on average. The fries are just so bad that it puts me off most of the time.

Not to mention P. Terry's which smashes all of those (well, Shake Shack is pretty darn close but the cheapness of P. Terry's gives it an edge).

I wonder if they can get sued for using that name.

We used to have a Popeye's Chicken long before the franchise came to the country. They were forced to change their name when they did.

It's purely subjective but having had all of the ones listed in my post, I still prefer In N Out.

One of many things I miss most about living in Cali full time.

People ITT are crazy.

In N Out edges those out easily. And that's without considering price. You factor that in, and In N Out is the runaway favorite. Well done fries, too good. Their grilled onions on the burger, bomb. Neapolitan shake, the perfect treat.

Tried In-N-Out while taking a trip to the Bay Area about a year ago and it was fine. A solid burger and fries weren't bad either, I'd say I was satisfiied. But it's definitely nowhere near the hype it gets but it's still a good meal for the price. I'd eat there again.

Honestly no better than the regional chains we have in the midwest like Culver's and Steak N Shake.

I like in-n-out but i have moo-yah-burger, five guys, cookout and a bunch of other places that make IMO better food. I'm not the biggest red meat guy anyways and i got a popeyes and chick-fil-a within walking distance.

I believed the hype and had it as my first meal when I was on my honeymoon in California. It was decent and that's it. Completely overrated.

There's a reason every menu item there is less than $5. It's because the quality is just one step above warm garbage. McDonald's has higher quality items.

MCDONALDS.

Their shake options are pretty bueno though.

I can get me four chicken quesadillas that I'll dip in Cookout Sauce and a cheerwine for 5 dollars.

McDonald's ain't gonna give me that love for stoned me at 3 in the morning. And the burgers/chicken taste better than McDonald's, so I ain't complaining.
