Night charts barely count, it's mostly bots.
I think this new release is fine and all but yeah... can't really disagree with any of that. :/
Yah, I am more interested to check again in a few hours, but "it's mostly bots" should affect every song in that Top 10/20 and I woulda figured they'd be a bunch of SNSD bots. I'm sure the album's doing well globally at the moment.
It's August 5th in Korea, 10 years ago SNSD debuted. A lot of change happened since then, music scene was very different back then compared to nowadays and many things happened since then but they prevailed. What a ride and those 2009-2013 peak years were some insane times. Congratulations for this huge milestone!
I agree that this is probably the last "regular" comeback as a group, and I'm actually ok with that, I'll just enjoy it anyway. Maybe they will call it hiatus, or not even give any label to it but will happen. If you count it, since Mr Mr until the end of this comeback cycle they will have maybe a grand total of 8-10 weeks of promotions, in almost 3,5 years.
We don't even know if everyone will remain under SM. They certainly have they own goals, professional and personal ones, outside SNSD.
Anyway, at least they should do some concert this year!
Both of Soshi's singles are great. Gonna dive in and listen to the album now 
Gfriend's is disappointing tbh. Like everyone has said it sounds too much like their old stuff :/ Shame I really love Fingertip and its concept.
I like CLC's song but I feel like it could have been way better than it is. Cube has no idea what they're doing with this group :s I'll still support CLC tho cuz I love them.

I'm alive, trying to wrap my head around all these feels.
11 hours on, and it's almost the middle of the day on the anniversary of their debut. "Holiday" at 14, "All Night" at 27. I'm surprised at the domestic response to this release, honestly.

It's actually not surprising, most sones are "saving" their streaming efforts for next week due 2 reasons.
These 3 days don't count towards music shows, and the charts don't update in real time as before. They only show realtime rankings from 12PM-6PM.
Meanwhile on iTunes, they're the 2nd girl group ever to achieve this, the first one was Black Pink.

Hmmm, I feel like the song is lacking a bit overall. It has it's cool parts but that's it.
SME can do a lot better, don't know why they feel the need to chose a rather normal, boring and save approach for this release.
If they wanted to make it a special 10-year anniversary thing, the song is way too poppy but at the same time not coming close to the greatness SNSD used to have.
Just a half-assed release, with no real course.
Whatever, at least we get awesome Taeyeon releases. That's the only thing people want anyway.

Okay I watched and I see now.
My thoughts: Holiday is better than All Night, but in the MV for Holiday it seems like they're editing frame speeds to add more energy and pop to their movements on the chorus.
Fany is still the best but there is no looking elsewhere when Yoona is center. Ol bright eyes still has the charisma factor on lock. She's probably still the best dancer of them all as well, though it is closer than it has been in the past.
If anything, seeing these MVs by the vets after so many young kids debuting definitely shows a difference in professionalism and camera comfort. There is no waiting for cues or slacking off in the back here; they are 100% on for every frame. Kids have drive and do work hard, but some things only come from experience.

What is this, a rap battle series? Seems like I rarely see K-hiphop in this thread, lol.
Kind of late, but this is so good! It has such a good vibe, the video is adorable, I adore their voices especially when they go together near the end.

Hip-hop/Rap survival show. They only have rap 'battles' once during the show, in the 3rd round. For the rest of the show it's elimination based.

So they record a song and the tracks get voted on? I'm biased towards Tiger and Bizzy.
In theory they are voting for the rapper instead of for the track. The producer teams act as mentors, but only one of the rappers wins at the end.
Eyedi released a new single? I haven't seen it anywhere, let me search for it.

It's performance based. The people that are in the crowd have a remote, the more they 'vote', the more a performers 'money' goes up (Hence the name of the show).

Samuel charted at all. I'm shocked.
It's an elimination show. They had like 12,000 folks who auditioned in Korea, LA, and New York. The ones that survived are split into teams, with two veteran K-rappers at the head of each team. Then they have competitions over the course of the show, with the TV audience and sometimes an in-studio audience voting on who did the best.

I remember the first time I met an Australian girl(yes I know Ozzies and Kiwis are different but to most outside of Aus/NZ they sound almost the same) who was my college tour guide. I couldn't get her voice out of my head for a week... I almost made it my goal to go to that school just so I can finish this love story.
Sadly, while I could've gone there on my own choice, I decided to go somewhere else because I decided to major in something else.
Yeah I hope people aren't sleeping on this... though judging by how you can't even get the album on Apple Music, most probably don't even know this exists.
The entire album from start to finish is fantastic and 42 is probably the most pop/radio friendly song out of it but it's so damn good... I think I might've found a song that'll dethrone Bolbbalgan4 and Mad Clowns collab from early this year.

It is crazy because you're from there lol.
It's like how non-Americans think all Americans sound the same when in fact we don't. To them every one sounds like a country hick/cowboy and the rest all speak a "normal" American accent like you hear in Hollywood movies.
But in reality, those country hicks/cowboys are actually a Southern accent and even that is split in more subgroups... we Texans don't sound the same as somebody from Alabama, Georgia, or any other state in the south. Hell you can tell somebody's from the country and the city because it's totally different.
That said, I'm sure if I get more exposure to Kiwi's, I'm gonna start noticing the differences.

I've met more non-Americans that can identify accents from regions within the USA than Americans that can identify accents from different countries.
