Did anyone notice little shiny orbs to collect in the stream or trailers?
No shiny collectible orbs, no buy.

There's none. It has been replaced with specific points where you collect several items at once (~4 ?).Did anyone notice little shiny orbs to collect in the stream or trailers?

Well I'm still having one, not as mad as back then though ha ha. I quickly wrote an article around the battle system and was wondering if I'd do this on the blog or here. For now here but I might do both at some point.Great thread Waji, couldn't say it earlier but I read through all of it and it was very informative. Reminds me of your blog in the Xenoblade X days.

But if you like to collect stuff on the floor, now the enemies drop their items directly on the field ; ).
Huh ? You don't need to press A. You just run on it if you want to get it.Two of the changes I don't like. I wish all the "press A to collect/pick up" designs don't have animation, like botw. Loot dropping looks less convenient than XB and XB2, should increase the pick up radius to several feet.

This is A LOT faster than in the previous games.
I'm not sure I understand your problem. The only thing I see is that you can't know what you get before (except if there's an option for it).
But in Xenoblade you could keep almost everything, it was easy to chose what would be useful or not, so if they organise the inventory in a better way, should be nice.
Just remember how long it was in both Xenoblade to check everything you get after every battles. You could have dozens of chests to go through in X.
Ah ok. Well... I'm still not sure there's really a problem. One thing I'm talking about are those collectible points, walk next to it, press A, Rex collecting animation, and you still need to pick up everything.
The other is enemies dropping 2~3 loots after beaten, unlike XB there's only one box , now you need to run in circles to collect all the loots.
Ah ok. Well... I'm still not sure there's really a problem.
1) The collectible points are easier to spot and remember the location. You need a fish, you check the pond...
In Xenoblade, whichever one, there's not much to help.
2) Running what... 1 second in circle is still at worst the same as getting the contents of a chest as fast as possible, maybe even faster.
Overall I think we win from it but we have to see more to know exactly how everything work before.
The explanation is really simple. They both have only 1 Blade. You can see that with Nia when he controls her. Only the tiger is set. Also on a side note, one thing I was worried about but just noticed in the treehouse was the AI being unable to Switch Blades and thus not have access to the full arts pallette which would be a major flaw. But an AI Rex was able to do this just fine.

That's also another reason why the guy didn't showcase the battles right. He just repeatedly use arts as soon as he got one and barely switch Blades plus he didn't try to give any to the other characters (Nia at least).
Maybe he coudln't for some reason also. But overal it was prooly demonstrated and only people who analysed saw how how deep it really could be.
It seems this week we won'tWell I'm still having one, not as mad as back then though ha ha. I quickly wrote an article around the battle system and was wondering if I'd do this on the blog or here. For now here but I might do both at some point.
I hope we get our wednesday tweet every week : P.
She's most likely what won him the xenoblade 2 character designer gig.
YepWait, really? Same character design?
Wow nice find. Probably the only reason for me to go to the Japan Expo but I have no idea Xenoblade 2 would be showcased.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EP2dXtfRDcI
It's another playthrough of the E3 Demo with some more translation tweaks it seems, pretty much all of which I like more than what came previously.
There's not much more to add here. The boss looked enjoyable as expected, the weapon variety looked nice and there seemed to be some pretty decent strategy in timing everything and managing the situation in real time. I like a lot of the visual cues in this game. From the circles around the blade arts to show what level they are, the power line between driver and blade. It feels generally more elegant than previous entries.

Me:
Xenoblade 1 = Super Hyped
Xenoblade X = Crazy Hyped
Xenoblade 2 = Meh, I wanted X2
I have been feeling really weird about this game, maybe this is the one that will finally sell millions and I don't even care for it right now
Seems like it's well on track for this year.
Dunno if it's the best thread for that, but Xenoblade just got rated on Australia Rating Board.

I work for a publisher and have submitted age ratings myself before. You can bet that this is coming this year!

Great design. What does it say about this character? This thread needs to be revived now that the Twitter account is seemingly active.
Is this character also one of Saito's designes? She looks good, and translates well into 3D, too. Upon seeing her, though, I can only think of her speaking like Minette Napkatti from Bravely Second.
And Its doing gods workThis thread needs to be revived now that the Twitter account is seemingly active.
Great design. What does it say about this character?
"Here's one of Rex's good friends, the Driver named Nia! Here's a little tidbit about her ears... Those ears you see above her hair? Seems like they're her real ears! Hmm? You already knew that? S-sorry..."
"The boyish wise-cracker of the group.
A good banter buddy of Rex's."
Nia probably has my favorite design in the party. According to the website, she's also filling the role not dissimilar to Reyn it seems which is promising.
So that's twice in a row the tank-y character is a little girl then.
