Street Fighter V |OTVIIII| New Generation - Fighting Game Is Something So Great

Using steam family sharing to start over on a new account feels bad. I have to re rank up by going through all these low sklll/new players. I feel like I'm bullying a tiny kid every match :/

So back when Mortal Kombat 9 came out, there was a local game store that held weekly tournaments. Every week I would go and every week I would win. Usually there would be several kids there, probably aged around 13 or so. I never showed them any mercy and I never thought twice about it.
If I can beat real children for their money without regret then I think you should be able to beat hypothetical children for their LP.

I finally made it to Diamond! Now it's time to actually learn how to play instead of relying on the same gimmicks over and over again.

So I was messing around with Akuma 50/50s off Tatsu, EX DP xx V-Trigger, Demon Flip, fireball, jump. I tested the standard neutral jump/forward jump mixup and I realized that I could see the mixup and blocked accordingly. After some tinkering around I found this:

Basically it's a straight 50/50 between whether the Akuma uses LK Flip or MK Flip since there's no discenible difference between them, and they both lead to a ton of damage. I think it's a good find.
 
Sooo PC guys, how do I get the best visuals for this. My pc can handle it im sure but I want that smooth crisp style I keep seeing some of you guys post.

I maintain that SFV needs a placement match system exactly like KI's as well as an LP reset after every season.

Why? You can't ever drop a rank in KI (unless you're inactive, right?). Makes more sense for them to reset since once you rank up you're basically safe.

You can drop a rank in SFV. Especially at the high levels, which seem mad volatile. People lose that Master icon all the time.
 
That's actually a terrible idea. If each new season brings in fresh blood, they'll be facing people way outside their skill level.
Hence placement matches.

Max out all of the settings in-game, turn off motion blur, and go to the config.ini somewhere in appdata and turn down whichever AA makes the game so smooth it gets blurry.

Does anyone know what stages come with the season passes. I believe the guile stage does, but what about the others character stages like balrog, abigail or akuma's?

Only Guile's stage is included with the season pass, as a mea culpa by Capcom for the issues at launch. The rest of the stages you either have to buy with fight money or real cash.

Question, if you finished Alex & Guile's story modes when they were free, do you still get FM when you complete them again if you choose to buy them?

I hope they do release a final version of the game on disc that contains everything from it, for posterity's sake.

I'm sure they will, years and years after the fact, on a different platform, like they did the other Street Fighters.

Or maybe not, since there won't be discs in the near future. Or people around to play video games. Just robots, going to Evo, trying to recreate the rituals of the species they exterminated.

I think with some practise you can block that one as well because you land noticably closer to the opponent with mk demon flip.
I suspect the best mix up would be to just delay your jump forward a few frames so that even you have a hard time telling if it is going to hit crossup or not.

Just max it out, cept AA, keep that to medium or low, cause it's basically a vaseline filter.
Then downsample from a resolution 1.5 or 2x your native res.

Because, a lot Rage Quitters ranked up during the first year period due to the lack of RQ system. And people who lose the rank can rank back up all the time. I always rank back down to Super Plat but can rank back up to Ultra Plat all the time.

And once you reach Super Plat, anything goes from there.

I remember seeing these mixups like in the first week that Akuma was released and barely anyone used them until Tokido brought them out at Evo. I'm surprised so many Akuma players slept on it for so long

That Karin costume might be amazing in motion.

I like that they exaggerated the proportions of Guile's hat to more closely resemble his hair silhouette, but overall that's a pretty dull costume. I guess Guile is a dull dude, though.
 
The costumes are neat but nothing about menat or the fight money. I guess they didn't proclaim that's it for the month, but I'm not sure if they usually do.

Wait damn the leak is real then.
 
Karin and Ibuki's costumes are cool. Guile's looks dorky (fittingly I guess), but Bipson's looks all mish-mashed. I'll admit i was fully expecting nostalgia costumes, so getting formal wear like this caught me by surprise.

I'd like to point out that he didn't say "Watch out for more news in the coming weeks" or something like that at the end. Please don't tell me Menat was delayed, too.

I'd wait for Gamescom. I feel Capcom doesn't want to announce things until the last possible moment to avoid delays.
