Yea a cosmic entity in the dmc universe which ain't shit. Even someone like MU Odin would press all of DMC. Characters like Jedah and Morrigan are much more powerful than that, so no, no random Tuesday homie. Sorry your boy gets washed by Jedah.

Did I stumble into GameFAQs by mistake? :D

Man that story mode actually looked really interesting.

Outside of the dogshit launch roster this game could be great, but jesus christ Capcom what were you thinking saving literally every character anyone gives a shit about for DLC?

And SF3! And parts of SF2!

The bigger the fighting game, or game in general, the more complaints will be aired.

That's such a weird thought process. Tons of FGC people cross pollinate. Tons of people play other fighting games. Tokido was a GG and KOF player, IIRC. Xiao is a KOF player. LI Joe loves like everything. A ton of the old heads play different games, and did so in the olden days. Some people just end up liking a particular type of game. Hell, people are playing Tekken as well as SF.

Capcom absolutely does not get a pass. They get dragged every day. People just enjoy the game enough to keep playing it. That's how it is for literally eveything. I have more fault with people claiming they are done with capcom and supporting other games but doing nothing to help their supposed title survive. They spend more time complaining about SFV and not promoting KOF, GG, or whatever. And the negativity doesn't look good for anyone.

Again, none of this is really rocket science. People enjoy SFV and the complaints are warranted but not really indicative of how everyone thinks. Things would be much better if people spent their energy elsewhere instead of focusing on things they don't like but whatever.

Pretty much. It's the one issue I have with some folk.

I see 20k views, how the hell is that mainstream?

The trailer is only a couple hours old, so the view count wasn't the point.

The audience for the three videos and the relative likes to dislikes was the point.
The Capcom specific video had a bunch of dislikes. The Marvel and Playstation videos which reach a more general, casual audience were overwhelmingly liked.

That's good to see.

At the end of the day it's gonna be all about the sales. I'm curious what it'll get. I'd like to see a capcom game reach expectations some time this gen

Probably not much. If Capcom doesn't have enough money to develop this properly, they probably don't have money to market it either.

However, the character of the game isn’t quite where it needs to be, and I’m hoping the rest of the story mode will live up the promise of what a crossover like this should be come November.

November?

I think sales are going to be largely influenced by how much Marvel markets it. The core fighting game market is really niche and the difference between a good selling fighting game and a mediocre one isn't actually that huge. It success is going to depend on if those Marvel marketing dollars will rope in the casuals.

So is this what we have come down to.. looking at like/dislike ratios?

This is some real grasping at straws here. And Capcom should still be concerned that their diehard fans are not liking the game since they are the ones more likely to actually spend money on this product.

Considering Marvel's pretty much done fuck all for the game except host the trailers on their YT channel and make some variant covers of questionable quality, I don't see it doing well then.

Seriously, have there been any TV spots? What about commercials on YT and Twitch?
