Founders Packs

Founders(80$ Tier) Alpha begins tomorrow. The NDA will drop and the servers will be open full time. This is expected to last two weeks then closed beta will begin for people chosen and those who buy the two lower tier packs(Slayer, Hero). Those who buy the most expensive tier will also get a free Slayer tier bundle(40$) to give away. Slayer bundles will not get to play the founders alpha which is live. They get into closed beta in September.

There is no ETA on how long closed beta will last but the hopes are a few months till open beta. Developers are aiming for fall. The game should be all over Twitch and YouTube come tomorrow so we all get to see what it's about. There will be 4 weapons at launch with two more in the works(one ranged).

The devs have put in a lot of work. It still seems to have a long way to go content wise but the combat looks really fun in a Dark Souls bossfight kind of way.

The game looks very good compared to when I last saw it (saw it on giantbomb a few years ago). I was initially very turned off by the F2P announcement and I still kind of am - but the way it has turned out is way better than I expected. I wish I could join in to see what it's like but I can totally wait.

Yeah, I wasn't going to get a Founders pack until they said on the forum that you get a free Slayer pack to give to a friend. That made it a little easier to swallow for me. I really love the art style, as well.

I was in the early phases of this game (When NDA was still active) The framerate when you're in the town/city is just terrible. Barely even 30FPS. They really need to fix that. I would also like to have more people interacting with each but that's something that the new community will need to fix on their own in my opinion. The combat is solid. That and the monster designs are the best parts of the game.

I didn't enjoy my time during the Alpha. Is everyone running around resource farming before actually fighting still a thing? Was annoying having to wait for everyone.

Important to remember the game is very early and damn near everything will change. I was in The Tech Alpha and can confirm they came a long ways in just a month of updates. They work fast but I suggest people wait and watch if you are on the fence.

The game has a solid core but has a very long way to go. The islands are pretty but don't offer much variety at the moment and fights always take place in an open flat field. Fauna is one animal type that wanders around till you hit and there are no medium sized behemoths yet. I believe there are some quests that have you fighting more than one behemoth but they don't run around randomly and fight with each other or anything.


The game is not done and is going the MMO route where new weapons, armors and behemoths will be added to the game regularly as well new features etc. It has a lot of promise but there is a lot of work to be done and many might find it too early to jump in.

Yeah closed will be September first unless Founders Alpha doesn't go smooth. The lower tiers have guaranteed access to that.
