While this depresses the absolute hell out of me, still got a laugh at them announcing they'll be celebrating N7 day. Like, they (EA, Bioware and whomever else was involved) bungled the absolute shit out of this game, basically promised a DLC that will now never see the light of day...and now want to celebrate with the community?! Gonna be a hard sell there.
I'm still absolutely flabbergasted they never remastered the OG trilogy, gave such a prestigious IP to such a "green" studio, allowed them to release such a bug-ridden game at release AND THEN cancel the obviously hinted at DLC that the diehards had been looking forward to. And that's not counting the various shitstorms this game endured in development (every crazy press conference look at the game, plot leaks, weird questionaire leak, first gameplay leaks, game delays, etc.). Sales were likely disappointing for Andromeda, but this game still sold millionS of copies.
It's honestly hard to fathom a faster way to alienate a passionate fanbase more efficiently then their efforts so far. Almost impressed, even. Now they want us all to get excited for Anthem, the game a sizeable portion of their audience will know first as the game that basically killed their beloved franchise.
I read the crazy Kotaku article about Andromeda before, but I want an entire book devoted to it. What a fascinating, depressing dumpster fire of an existence Andromeda was.
