What Nationality or Country would you want to see in a new Street Fighter Character?

As in "Heathcliff"
"For a period of time we considered including Momotaru as a playable character. He would have pulled a barrel out from the side of the screen and thrown it at the opponent as his V-Skill. He overlapped a little too much with Birdie so he didn’t make the cut."

Based on one move? That actually don't sound a good excuse there. I guess we might have to wait until SFVI to see if he actually reconsidered once again.

Oh nice it's Bull Nakano.

Personally I want Irish representation that doesn't involve alcohol or explosives.

AGREED.

As an American man of Dominican (Republic) origin, I'd like to see a representative that's better than this asshole, which is (to my knowledge) the only example of a major publisher like Capcom having a Dominican character in their game:

(That is, until that dude from the GTA IV side game came along)

At this point, it doesn't matter, anywhere from the big or small Antilles will do.

same a dominican character would be nice.

I know Japan is well represented in the SF universe but I always wanted to have a fighter with the Yakuza tropes. The cool looks with the good looking suits, the tattoos, the mysteriousness, and a cut of finger. I also would like to see a fighter from Cambodia with the Bokator fighting style.

They can do so much more with geographic representation, but I wouldn't want an Italian pizza guy or beer-guzzling Aussie with a cork hat who throws magic crocodiles or some shit. But then again....

Vatican City

(this is a joke post)
That would be cool though! He could be a cardinal with ecclesiastical magic or something.

vietnamese woman dressed in an ao dai

not sure if they have this character but a greaser styled dude with leather jacket would be cool too

I always saw TK as being the fighting style rep as opposed to the nationality rep. The way they put so many variations on the same generic style was always pretty cool (there are like 6 different karate characters and only two use the same actual style).

Yes, Santamu is Vietnamese

Enero (drill hair) is from Spain
Fevrier (gun) France
Marz (laptop) Germany
Aprille (Medic) Italy
Satsuki (sword) Japan
Juni (orange hair) Germany
Juli ( Dark hair) Germany
Xiayu ( thin sword) China
Yanyu (Bo Staff) China
Nemblu (Axe) Mexican/Indian
Dacapre (Mask) Russian
Santamu was retconned to Ethiopian in SFV.

Wait is Urien really Greek? Is this confirmed?
It wasn't confirmed, but it's heavily hinted that they're either Greek (fighting style and dress), Indian (gem, powers, and lore), or Egyptian (base of operations).

Would love to see another Desi character. Doesn't have to be Indian, could be Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, anything really.

The series has too many boxers already man, just let it go.

Cause you just know if they're black then they're either a thug character or a boxer.

Elena?

Have a character and level from Nauru. If you pick a character from Europe and play in that level, the rightfully pissed natives in the background start hurling bird crap at you for destroying their environment and economy.

He specified Prince so it'll be male.

But yes, Elena is an exception.

Yeah....though she is kinda whitewashed though. That hair. Still, she and Dudley are easily the best black representatives of the series thus far and yet neither got into V. Such a shame.

Why don't people want a stereotype for another Canadian character. Imagine a hockey player who pokes with his stick, has puck projectiles, a skating command dash and apologizes for winning

Birdie is black and he isn't a thug or a boxer. He's a lovable human being.
He used to be a thug in Alpha and in SF1. He's "reformed" but he's still not exactly a good character. Still an improvement from thug though.

Sean is black.
Sean's brazillian, and Laura's brother. He's brown.

If Maple Syrup isn't involved in his CA somehow, then the character was not worth including.

Word! We need a pretty boy (light or dark skin don't matter) Bachatero/Merengero that would charm all da ladies in the SF cast (Except Juri. That girl cray) and would beat down any hater. The soundtrack for his stage would be a merengue tipico. Screw it, make the Dominican character a female respected elected official that isn't corrupt, is T H I C C but isn't dressed like she going to da beach. lol.

Well I don't want to go too out of my league here but bring Brazilian doesn't mean he can't be black since it does have a substantial black population. I do know he is part Japanese on one side.

She was considered for SFV but they felt that her gameplay is weak so they cut her.
