‘Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy’ (-23%) takes the No1 spot and has now made it 7 weeks at the top of the All Formats Charts, extending its record of most times at No1 for 2017.

After 2 weeks of no new entries, Deep Silver’s new release ‘Agents of Mayhem’ debuts at No4, while Paradox’s ‘City Skylines: Playstation 4 Edition’ comes in at No20 in its debut week. This means it trumps its Xbox One counterpart, which failed to make the Top 40 when it came out in Week 16 earlier this year. It’s business as usual for Rockstar/Take 2’s ‘GTA V’ (-4%) as it climbs one place back up to No2. ‘Fifa 17’ (-12%) on the other hand drops 3 places to No15, while ‘Football Manager 2017’ (+476%) re-enters the charts at No22 after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
Sales are overall pretty low considering most games charting are budget releases or on sale.

Well, according to Bruno Crash is now around 10k, so I find it kinda shocking that Agent of May hem couldn't surpass that, even if it wasn't very hyped.
I didn't even know a game with this name existed until open this thread.

That tells a lot even if anedoctal.

Now that the individual formats chart is available I guesstimate at most 5,000 - 6,000 units for Agents of Mayhem.

12 (NE) PS4 AGENTS OF MAYHEM (DEEP SILVER)
15 (NE) XBO AGENTS OF MAYHEM (DEEP SILVER)

Agents of BOMBA.
Predictable.

Should of been called Saints Row: Agents of mayhem to get some sales.

Though this week should be the last with crash at the top for a bit with Uncharted out this week.

So was Agents of Mayhem a bigger flop than Battleborne? Not super shocking I suppose, I'm still kinda shocked it's a single-player only game, co-op just seems like such an obvious thing for it to have. Anyway hopefully Volition will be fine.

Didn't know there was a physical version of Cities.

Or just Saints of Mayhem. I'm not sure what's out after UC but I imagine it'll be top till Destiny 2.

I believe Splatoon 2 is the first game to keep the top spot for 4 weeks in France.

The squids are helped by the anemic release schedule for games in July/August it's still an extremely good performance.

Splatoon 2 on Amazon(games only):
  • France: 7th Place for the year, 8th Place in August(behind MK8D, ahead of Zelda)
  • Germany: 14th Place for the year, 13th Place in August(behind MK8D and Zelda)
  • United Kingdom: 26th Place for the year, 9th Place in August(behind MK8D and Zelda)
  • USA: 4th Place in Amazon for the year, 2nd Place in August(ahead of MK8D and Zelda)
  • Canada: 12th Place for the year, 9th Place in August(behind Zelda, ahead of MK8D)

Nah. No way it's going to sell less than 10k in the first week.

Edit. Forgot about F1 2017. Will be number 2 then.

Wonder how Sonic would have done if there was a physical release. Wasn't as much hype behind it, but could've contended for the top spot in a slow week.

Yeah, it's Amazon, small sample size, etc etc, but TLL ain't exactly slouching in charts. ;)

Smart people aren't going to buy F1 2017 from Amazon considering they can get it quicker and £6 cheaper from other reliable online retailers. I'm not saying UC:LL is going to perform badly especially at that price but I fully expect F1 2017 to do better overall (maybe not on individual sales) because it's multiplatform. However the game doesn't seem to have any hype and sales have been decreasing in the previous years. They really need today's reviews to be great.

Crash must be the highest game with No. 1 spot for 2017.

What is the all time record for a title getting No. 1 spot?

F1 2017 is going to release this week and I fully expect it to sell a lot more than an Uncharted expansion especially considering it's multiplatform.

Maybe, but I don't think it's a sure-fire thing. Uncharted is at an advantage given its far lower price point, and as Nightengale has illustrated with the Amazon chart, it's selling a lot better than F1 2017 right now.

There is also Madden releasing on the 25th.

American football isn't going to have much impact on the charts in the UK.

F1 isn't going to outsell Uncharted. Come on.

Worldwide clearly not. In the UK where F1 is very popular especially with Lewis Hamilton at the top, it's not so clear to me. If F1 2017 fails to beat an Uncharted expansion in one of their better markets, that would be a clear sign the game bombed.

When F1 Codemasters games were at their peak saleswise, they would easily top Uncharted DLC in the UK. It wouldn't even be a competition (multiplatform vs. exclusive don't forget).

Small correction: Uncharted: TLL isn't an expansion or DLC, it's a stand-alone game.

Sony aren't pushing it like it's just a DLC, it a £24-£30 Uncharted game with very good reviews, be really surprised if it isn't comfortably number 1 until Destiny 2.

Only way I see it not, is if it's digital sales massively outweigh physical, which I doubt, but it's not impossible I suppose.

You are right although it's being priced as an expansion and not a full fledged title, don't you agree? Mainstream audience will immediately take a conclusion of the scope of the game based on the price of release of the title...

But still I never said UC:LL will fail. I'm saying F1 2017 should do better than UC:LL in the UK and it's going to be a good indicator about the success of F1 2017 because UK is supposed their biggest market. I believe a game can be succesful even if another game sells more.

The PS4 version of F1 2016 couldn't beat out the second week of No Mans Sky with an 81% drop at launch. Sales have also been on a downswing with 2016 selling 35% less than 2015. It's certainly not a sure thing.

Every Season Pass owner or those who purchased TLL before its price went up after the announce of the increased scope won't get a retail game. You can't expect TLL numbers to be comparable to other entries on the franchise.

It's doesn't need to be comparable to get number 1 spot. I doubt it'd even be close to something like Uncharted 4 for example.

Yes and they have been decreasing for years. That's why I'm still not expecting PS4 version of F1 2017 to outsell UC:LL but I'm expecting combined sales of F1 2017 (XB1, PS4, PC) to outsell PS4 UC:LL just like F1 2016 combined sales sold more than No Man's Sky 2nd week last year.

If all versions don't sell more than UC:LL then the game bombed. Let's hope it doesn't because DiRT 4 has sold terribly and I want to see Evolution's new IP from Codemasters.

Did mainstream audiences immediately make an assumption of the scope / quality of Crash and Ratchet due to their lower prices?

If last year's version couldn't beat NMS's second week then there's absolutely no chance.

An entry in one of Sony's biggest franchises isn't going to be outsold by a niche 3rd party game.

Crash Team Racing remake could end up huge. And it's such a good game.

Please develop it, Activision. But don't change the mechanics much!!
