Final Fantasy 15 - Windows Version Trailer (PC)

How? What does XBOX even remotely have to do with this?
Well, I interpret it like this: if this game had no PC version, but did get X1X improvements, then that would be the best way to play it. But with the PC version existing, this will not be the case, and it will always be the definitive version on a fast PC.

Now, why someone would base their HW decision on FF15 I can't answer :p

Don't like this game nearly enough to buy it twice but based on what they've already shown I look forward to the screenshots!

I would double dip for $10 if they just removed chapters 9-14 from the game. It's actually insane how bad this game gets in the second portion.

The PC |OT| will be very entertaining to read at the very least.

Did they announce pricing?

Very curious if they'd move to charge $60 for this, what will be ~18 months post original release. Could see it with including the DLC, but I certainly won't bite at full price having already played through on console.

Personally, I'd much rather have had FF12.
But I expect that to show up on Steam either exactly 6 months or exactly 12 months after its PS4 release date.

With the way game sales have been trending, just wait another year or two...
I don't believe these publishers react that quickly :p

(I also don't think they are capable of making the correct decisions to truly make optional coop something that serves to enhance an already solid single-player experience, like it does in Divinity:OS or the Dark Souls games -- but this is a topic for another thread)

I dont have even a quarter of a half decent rig that could run this but I'll be eagerly waiting for the Ultimate Quality 4K HFTS VXAO screenshots of shirtless Gladio. Thank you in advance btw

Ah, finally, the PC announcement! Very happy. Hopefully its a complete edition.

It's also lovely to see overblown reactions to specs and such. This game is going to future proof itself pretty good. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Why 6 months? 12 I understand because that was the timming for X HD but 6 months? Where does that come from?

That's the odd thing is that there was no indication that FFXV would get these sorts of improvements on that new console. More like just straight IQ improvements.

Awesome for PC players. FFXV visually was meant to be on this platform at some point in time. I definitely don't have a rig capable of pushing 4K at a locked FPS, nor really the harddrive space right now ;_;

Some day I'll get it. Screenshots are gorgeous.

Horrid distant LOD in pretty open world game strikes again. Ugh.

Finally saw the trailer. I love that Turf Effects is in there, it's the first game I'm even remotely interested in which features it. It's neat technology.

I have over 8TBs worth of hard drives. It's so easy these days to have plenty of HDD space on PC.

Here in the US, I can get a 1TB hard drive for as little as $40.

I am ready for the FF boy band reunion tour! I have mixed emotions of the game but I feel more positive than negative.

Double dip for sure.

This is XIII all over again, with time after the aftertaste finally kicks in, more negative opinions will arise.

The game is divisive to say at least.

I think it's more that people that like the game don't care to engage in the constant negativity that is almost every FF related thread. They liked the game and moved on. People that dislike it are the ones that want to write essays about why it sucks.

A lot of people game on SSD's nowadays tho, especially big games like these.

It's weird to see so many people excited to play a game that got totally shitted on by Neogaf. I personally liked it quite a bit. Hopefully people can keep their expectations in check.

just wait a few months and fuck with the .ini file come on dude

You're assuming you can. And again assuming that even if you can tweak stuff, you'll be able to push the grass rendering distance that far. Or at least get not blurry as fuck textures for terrain at a distance that doesn't appear to be very far away.

I just have 2x SSDs now, would have to clear out one entire drive for this game.

PC players love their JRPGs. They are always wildly successful in spite of Squares strategy.

Well that too, SSDs are always preferable, but HDDs are still king for size and budget. Plus most SSD prices have gone up this year.

I always recommend having at least a 240GB SSD in the PC build thread for new builders or people who are upgrading!

In general many of the hills/mountains in FFXV are poorly textured. Blurry and repeating textures are pretty common. I guess they won't change that texturing just for the PC version. In 4K and good IQ these spots will stand out even more unfortunately.

I just hope there's mod to improve the combat. I haven't played the game yet but reading a lot of bad review about its simplistic approach.

Pretty easy to move Steam games back and forth from an SSD to an HDD and vice versa. Steam Tool, for example. It's always a great compliment to an SSD to have a big HDD for storage. Makes it easy to make space on SSD for a new/big game.

Steam actually has that functionality built into the client now.
