For you.
True about JC3 on PC, but I couldn't finish Mad Max, I found it really dull to explore, story was crap too
I found it great. So many places to find, I loved it.
In addition to running badly JC3 advancement and open world "things to do" are sub-par as well. It went from an amazing JC2 to adding more explosions and wackiness at the cost of everything else.
What was amazing in JC2? It's not like it had any actual well designed missions or anything. It was literally just destruction over and over 99% of the time.

JC3 has better gunplay, better trasversal mechanics, better tools to play around with with the physics and everything. It does everything JC2 did but better.

Well I wasn't too big of a fan of AoE III, so I'm not sure how much I'm going to like IV. But I'm happy someone is taking a shot at it because RTS feels like an underserved genre right now.

Relic is doing Age IV.

I'm tempted to say waste of talent on an IP that was last relevant way too many years ago, but I'm not sure how much talent Relic has left at this point.

Either way, I'm hoping to see something new and innovative in the genre, not just more of the (outdated) same. We'll see..

Gamescom the new E3? AoE4 best announcement in years for me holy shit. And not only that, I get to play the three games remastered as well? RTS is back boys.

(now EA get your shit together and make a new C&C)

JC2 took what JC tried to do, but made it work. For its time, it was amazing to have so much freedom and interaction with everything. The missions were cheesy, but functional. JC3's missions at least for me were badly scripted, bugged out half the time and weren't really fun.

I feel that instead of building on JC2, Avalanche just looked at a bunch of sick gifs and focused on that at the expense of everything else. At the same time, other games caught up with JC2.
Not to mention JC3 obviously being built to be a microtransaction-driven game and then quickly turned around.

I tried to put an item up for sale on the market and it's on hold until September 5th?

I even used the authenticator to login my account and to confirm the sale. I thought that's what removed the hold. I'm confused.

It's not releasing on Steam though. I mean, considering the upcoming HD AoE is Windows Store only...

Shameless self-quote:

If we assume the reason MS is currently beta testing a Steam + XBL network API that allows non-intrusive crossplay support is that it wants to let the other shoe drop and release its remaining WinStore exclusives on Steam, which I do, then I'd say there's a good chance of the game launching on Steam if it's a Q1 2018 release or later (which is likely the case).

Yeah, the AoE games will come to Steam eventually. If you're a hardcore fan you'll probably want to dive in, but if not it's best to wait. Hopefully ReCore comes after 3+ months too.

Nice to see FF15 make it on PC, but I have to wonder who on Earth is going to buy it on Origin. EA employees? The WinStore I can somewhat understand considering SE has already had titles on there and there are Xbox fans/other PC gamers into it.

The Origin version will find its teeny-tiny niche if it has different, more advantageous region-specific pricing. See: Ubi games.

I don't know if anyone would be able to help me with this, but I'll ask anyway

I'm trying to get my headphones working with my Xbox One controller, but I can't seem to get it going. I've even tried using a three-pole jack adapter with no results. Any tips?

FFXV, Fear Effect 1 Remake, AoE4, Biomutant trailer, lots of nice PC announcements coming out of Gamescom. :)

Relic and Winstore only make this easy as all hell to wait on. Relic are great at making real time tactical games, with a focus on small unit combat, not strategy games on a bigger scale.

Don't really see the issue with Relic, as their games were excellent iterations (and IMO improvements) on the classic RTS formula, so I don't think making a AoE sequel is even close to being out of their league.

Also, it's pretty obvious at this point all the winstore stuff is coming to Steam later anyway.

OK I am getting antsy here; when are Capcom gonna announce their stuff?!

Tthat Okami coming this holiday rumor is almost certainly true.

Like I said, Relic are great at real time tactics, where you manage small squads of soldiers in small engagements, with terrain and abilities playing a huge role. That's very different to what AOE classically was, a base building strategy with large armies. I don't think Relic have done something like that since DOW 1.

And sure, it will eventually come to Steam. I'm happy to wait for that day.

Still getting Screen tearing in Rage when I have it in Borderless Gaming.
Windows 10 CU's gamebar thing is disabled too.
Dang thing is irritating the hell out of me.

I'm gonna try playing the game while making it not read my DS4 and X1 controller...

Homeworld 1 and 2, Impossible Creatures, and the original Dawn of War say otherwise.
