Isn't Gamescom around the corner, I'd imagine they save the announcement for that if it was more content.
I imagine it will something like XboxOneX update, Player numbers, and maybe a hint at gamescom

-Fits the game really well.
-A female guests character.
-A Rare character.
-Makes an even 4 guests.
-Makes an even 30 characters.

The last point annoys me. 29 is such a bad number to stop on. I also hated how Tekken Tag 2 also had 59 characters. How do you stop one from an even factor of ten.

I wish they could do a crowdfunding campaign. I'll put in $30.

Kameo would also acomplish those points + with her transformations has the potential for a more interesting character

MS needs more exclusives. I want that Perfect Dark reboot done in the modern Wolfenstein style. Give me character, give me heart, give me action espionage.

If Sonic can come back thanks to Christian Whitehead (basically a fan of Sonic) then I say MS should also allow other people to do the game.

I don't have any preference for it to be a factor of ten or an even number.

It's literally only when the roster ends one away from factor of ten that slightly annoys me.

It's how the human mind works. It's why everything is priced $0.99 instead of going one cent up. Why $399.99 is more appealing than $400.

Just want to say that Rise of Nations Extended Edition just came to the Windows Store. And it's got CROSSPLAY WITH THE STEAM VERSION: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1421008

This means that crossplay for KI of the Steam versions with the W10 at least should be expected. I hope the X1 too.

Eagle should be accessible already. Shin Hisako and Kilgore will become accessible when the Steam version releases.

But yes, all Definitive Edition owners get those characters.

I think they had talked about it before, but on the Xbox Gamescom stream they just said Killer Instinct would be getting Scorpio free upgrade.

Still not sure what it'll entail, but hopefully it's more than just a resolution boost and comes with improvements that will be noticeable on PC as well.

I'm not expecting anything outside of the Xbox version being brought up to match PC. Anything more than that is a bonus but I think IG are focused primarily on other projects now.

Unfortunately I think this is right on, but hey even a 4K res upgrade is a big deal for me I'll take it.

It's still happening. I'd guess Microsoft went radio silent due to the creation of the Steam + XBL network API that is currently being beta tested in Rise of Nations (as mentioned above) and will provide more information once said API receives the big tick of approval and has been implemented into Killer Instinct.

We knew that a 4K upgrade for Killer Instinct was on the cards, but again, it was a pleasure to see very final-looking code up and running and fully playable. It's an interesting evolution for the title - let's remember that it launched alongside Xbox One itself, rendering at a native 720p. A subsequent title update pushed it to 900p, but Xbox One X delivers a crystal-clear native 4K presentation with no performance drops we could spot. The only blemish to the look of the title comes from its video assets, which appear unchanged from the original and look decidedly low res compared to the pristine 3D rendered output.

Just an up-res to match the PC version. Not too surprising. Still welcome though. Hopefully, the loading times will be much better too.

Season 3 Ultra owner, haven't booted the game up in a long time. I know I'm entitled to Eagle, but can I buy Kilgore and Shin Hisako?

Both Kilgore and Shin Hisako are available for $5 each. These last 3 characters were all separate purchases (unless you bought the Definitive Edition which included all 3 of them).

edit: I don't believe they have been given to Definitive Edition owners yet but they'll probably be added by the time the Steam version comes out (which is supposed to be sometime later this year).
