Turn Based Xbox One / PS4 Games

Before you say it, I already own Xcom and Xcom 2.

I'm looking for some recomendations for good turn based games for the Xbox One or Ps4. 360 games that are Xbox One compatable are fine as well.

/edit: Genre doesn't matter.

Persona 5 is turn-based combat at its finest, so there's that. I don't know if JRPGs count though, in terms of what you want to play.

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.
Persona 5 is the best game I played this year

Rainbow Moon is a grindy turn based RPG with tactical elements - if you run into an enemy, you get taken to a grid and given a certain number of actions per party member each turn they get. Personally I think it's fantastic, but it's not too popular or critically well-received.

Hadn't really occurred to me how uncommon turn based is recently until I tried to think of answers to this question.

Does Transistor count? I feel like Transistor should count.

Invisible, Inc. and The Banner Saga are also great candidates.

In addition to what other people said:

- Disgaea 5 (SRPG, still like turn based though)
- Final Fantasy 7
- Final Fantasy 10/10-2 (12 is more like mmorpg combat, half turn based half action rpg)
- World of Final Fantasy
- I am Setsuna (not great)
- Digimon Cyber Sleuth

- Final Fantasy 13 trilogy if they are on the Xbox 360 Xbox one compatibility list never checked

Looking forward to sequel Digimon Cyber Sleuth: Hackers Memory, DQXI, Battle Chasers: Nightwar coming 2018

From these I played and recommend...

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth
World of Final Fantasy
The Banner Saga
Final Fantasy VII PS4 version
Wild Arms 3 PS2 to PS4 version
Child of Light

I have to play Valkyria Chronicles (already purchased) and Persona 5.

Two games popped into my head, assuming they count. Both goofy / fun, South Park and Pit People (I believe still in early access for xbox??)

Divinity: Original Sin. It has a bit of a slow start but push through and it's maybe the best RPG this generation.

- Divinity Original Sin
- Pillars of Eternity (although this is really pause and play)
- Persona 5 (PS4 only)
- Mario & Rabbids (Nintendo Switch only)
- Child of Light

All great games imo

Hm, thread got me curious about Invisible Inc and Banner Saga.

Also, OP, Id suggest Gwent. It's a card game, but it's turn based and it's free as its in beta.
