Destiny 2 PC Beta Thread - Codes are redeemable, preload starts Friday 25th, 10AM PDT

It seems to run great on my i5/970gtx hard to judge much though with only 1 strike and not much loot. Very pretty though and excited to play at release though.

The wider FOV should be a bigger selling point for folks.I know 60fps is nice and all but wider FOV feels like a game changer to me.

My only complaint is I'm really disappointed in multiplayer capping at 4v4 its just too small feels a little meh.

I skipped the D2 beta on consoles, but was an avid D1 player. Christ Almighty the difference between 30 fps and 60 fps. It's more apparent here because I logged a shit ton of hours at 30 fps.

Anyone having trouble selecting 3840 x 2160 (4k) as a resolution? Tried all display modes and it is not showing up no matter what.

Anyone else getting connection issues at the wave fight in the introductory mission and then get disconnected getting the Spinach error? And then you can't log back in for several minutes.

If your native resolution is not 4K, you'll need to enable DSR or the AMD equivalent in your driver control panel. However, you can also just use the resolution scale setting for the same effect, 200% at 1080p will render the game at 4K resolution.

You can also disable the Real ID feature in Battle.net Account Management. Select Settings, then Communication Preferences, and uncheck the option Enable Real ID under the Privacy section.

Feels like a completely different game at 144fps. At the end of the day it's Destiny so it's still butt in PvP, but man, I was expecting it to be so smooth

The setting from console beta should be set to PC while the PC setting should be set to console

Why Bungie give higher AA to PC, it's so much easier to aim than console beta..

Pre order on amazon and get the code and cancel the order
Last time I did this for Destiny 2, it took them 2 days to get me the code. It's probably not worthwhile unless you also want to try harassing them in customer service.

There's no auto-aim with mouse and keyboard though?

Mine was previously disabled in this exact location prior to running destiny 2 beta and my real name was in destiny fireteam chat.

Uploading a Shadowplay run on my rig through the intro sequence up to the Director as mentioned. Grabbed decent quality so it will be about 1.5 hours upload.

I can't stress enough how much it helps to get your super and special ability off their default keybindings. I'm using M3 and M4 for those and it seems good. I may actually switch super or special over to F though and put melee on M4 since I will probably be playing Striker a lot and need the frequent access to melee.

This game is great

Thought it was going to be hard to wait until October to play the PC version, but 144fps Destiny is a game changer. Handles so, so good.

Did the same thing; helped big time.

I thought beta was decent on my PS4 Pro but playing it maxed on my PC with 144hz and 100+ fps is a game changer. I'm weak so I'll probably double dip so I can play with friends on PS4 but the PC version hnnghh

Anyone attempted to run this on a MacBook Pro? I'm wondering whether to set up boot camp on my 2016 MBP with 2gb graphics but don't know if it's going to be a waste of time. Obviously I expect it would run on low settings if at all.

My god...is the PvP on dedicated servers? Feels like a completely different game compared to the ps4 beta.

Also, I'm using a controller and I'm holding up just fine.

I'm so happy right now.

It's huge. I played the D2 beta on console, and the PC version feels like a completely different game in the best way possible. They're not even comparable.

Watching Shroud play and his inability to understand the game / even see the power ammo boxes is hilarious.

To be fair the game explains nothing about which are which, I even went out of my way to empty some of my ammo, pick some up, see a + number in different colours, switch to that weapon and not see ammo so *shrug*.

I hate to sound dramatic but on PC this feels like a whole different game. How smooth it is along with how easy it is to aim I don't feel like I suck anymore

Does PvP have aim assist?

I hope so

I'm pretty sure it does, but it feels weaker than the console versions. Hard to tell, but it's playing just fine for me. I can tell the m/kb has a bit of an edge in some scenarios, but I think it's relatively well balanced considering. This is how I'm going to play it...using my elite controller with jump/slide on my paddles is what I need. I hate keyboard for movement/jumping.

shit looks dope at 60fps but i gotta get me a coooooode. even though D1 fell off for me and the trailers haven't impressed me, I still wanna give the gameplay a shot, especially on my pc.

So I can't play this till tomorrow if I haven't pre ordered? :(

What is the fastest method to get a pre order that I can cancel if needed and download code?

Yeah the weird thing is my native resolution is 4k lol, it has all resolutions other than my native res

Find the exe in the game directory, right click and select properties, go to compatibility options, and uncheck the checkbox relating to High DPI scaling. Fixed it for me.
