There is nothing wrong with the prompts as they are. The overreactions are a punishment for not thinking things through.

Sorry, but when the "Force" option is labeled as "Doubt" that's not about not thinking it through. That's more akin to ordering the steak and you get the fish.

Switch should replace Xbox tho.

Why?

Of all the Switch rumors, I did not expect this one to come through. I played this game exactly once years ago, so I don't remember how I felt about it, lol. Apparently the overall sentiment is not warm.

hah, i guess. I'm not sure if i even finished this game.

I think this was one of the first games I rented that I immediately exchanged for a different game when Blockbusters/GameRentals were phasing out.

Not exactly a game I want. But honestly I'd love more last gen ports to switch. There was a lot of great games I missed because I only had a Wii U. I have a 360 now, but using it feels like a chore, I'd much rather the graphics be slightly improved and be on a console that's much more of a pleasure to use.

Never got around to playing this as I was in school at the time, would bite pending price. Hopefully the Switch version isn't just a 1:1 port of the original and looks at least mildly improved, though I'm not expecting much. Curious to see the DigitalFoundry comparisons when those come out.

I had no intention of picking this game up, but if it has gyro aiming on the NS and motion controls, then I'll be there day one. I was even just thinking of finishing this up on the 360, but I'll wait until November for that. Just hope the port turns out okay.

I think that was the point. You used your intuition and that means you won't always be right. I like how if you don't know what you're doing you can arrest the wrong person and you won't really solve the case. Because that shit happens all the time in real life. Also loved noticing subtle tales in the animations. IDK, I didn't really struggle at all with the game But I get why people do.

The main problem with the interrogation system is how they changed the original Coax, Force and Lie into Truth, Doubt, and Lie.

That may have been the point, but that doesn't mean it wasn't poorly executed. There was never anything to learn from your mistakes. It's not like I would just rush through and ignore all of the narrative/evidence/tells, I was doing the investigating, looking at evidence, talking to the right people, but when you got to the interrogation room, it felt like none of that mattered. It was a guessing game.

No, i meant that Smuggler's Run was the first game on a Nintendo console from Rockstar. Table Tennis is still not the last one, the last one is Manhunt 2.
Actually the first game from Rockstar (publisher) to land on a Nintendo console was Monster Truck Madness 64 for N64.

I enjoyed L.A. Noire on release (except for the last 10% or so of the game or so) but I did wish there was a bit more to do in the open world.

I don't find much to be compelling for these ports though, perhaps adding a bit more content would help entice me to replay or if this was an opportunity to supporting them to gauge the market on a potential sequel/spiritual successor like 'Whore of the Orient' but I doubt that's the case unless they came out and said so (since the original studio has closed it's operations).

Definitely intrigued to hear more though, I really enjoyed many of the Shenmue-esque elements this game had, it felt very fresh at especially at the time...

Do we have to buy this to get them to do the same for other Rockstar games? It's like a ransom for games people actually want to play. With all that said I'm very curious what they do with the Switch version.

been wanting to replay this since 2011 or whatever. may purchase on ps4pro if framerate on 4k is clean, or if i can select 1080 smooth framerate

Yup this is the Rockstar next-gen remaster everybody wanted

Yup

First post nails it. La noire was a good game, but had its deep seated flaws, one which was a not so compelling open world and repetitive, unrewarding gameplay.

Oh, and yeah I get it, window dressing game world an all, game is quite linear, but one of the main draws was the 1940s world, feel look and opportunity to explore it. That didn't work out so well for the game.

I suppose it's good news for consoles, but a port of SA , a GTAA, or bully would have been hype. I don't see any crowd, even on gaf, slavishly wanting a la noire remaster.

Didn't stop Skyrim from being updated for free to the Special Edition.

Bethesda is still primarily a PC developer first and foremost. Rockstar's track record on the PC is such that it was seen as a minor miracle that the PC version of Max Payne 3 managed to release within the same month as the console versions.

The game wasn't really that good and I'd rather they focus their efforts on a sequel to fix the issues the original had.

That said and real talk, fuck this remaster where the hell is news/update/whatever on Red Dead Redemption 2?!

So it's real. Hopefully that means that there's still some life left in the IP. I'd like to see what their internal studios could do with a sequel.
