Fire Emblem Warriors characters trailer #1

Has Azura been confirmed yet?

Not yet, but they've got a few character announcements lined up for TGS. It would be quite the shock if she's not in, given that both Corrins and both royal families made it in.

I think she'd be the only Fates character that mains spears and is on foot, so she already has a lot in her favor in terms of play style.

Not yet. I'd be surprised if she wasn't in the next batch of announcements.

Bummer.

This game is so strange for me. On the one hand, I loooooooooved the early Samurai Warriors games, but haven't touched a musou since. On the other, I looooooove the modern Fire Emblem games. And yet, there's still some hesitation. Hyrule Warriors had some significant post-launch content, right? Both free and paid DLC?

Nope, and Fates has more characters than Awakening right now(10/9 to 6/7) and we still need to learn about the Shadow Dragon cast, so I don't think her inclusion is a safe assumption at this point.

She's such a major character that I can't imagine they would ignore her. I think that's it for Fates though. Shadow Dragon will likely get the shaft with only a couple of characters.

Why do people think Tharja is the most popular character.

She got number 2 in the Japanese popularity poll for Awakening, only behind Lucina, and number 3 in the worldwide Heroes popularity poll, only behind Lyn and Lucina.

Shadow Dragon will at the very least get five characters in total, including Marth. I think we're due to one last Awakening rep (Tharja) and it will be over.

I really despise the fact that Awakening and Fates completely dominate Fire Emblem series. That would be like if Square Enix makes a FF cross over game such Dissidia and only features characters from FFXIII and FFXV.

DLC and/or sequels. Another game added to History Mode could be awesome.

I'm not saying she's not popular, but people act like she's the face of the franchise.
Ike, Lyn, and Lucina are far bigger.

Honestly, this could've just been a Awakening Musou and I'd a been happy since 99% of those characters are just simply fantastic.

Speculation on your part or as Koei say they will add more characters from Shadow Dragon ?

Both.

ND: And thus, the time is up for this occasion. We look forward to the next issue too.

Hayashi & Usuda: Okay!

ND: So finally, please share anything else you’d like to say!

Hayashi: I’m rather unwilling to say this… but there are still many more characters appearing. Please enjoy predicting who are going to appear! There are still more characters appearing from Awakening!

Usuda: We only announced characters from Awakening this time, but I think you should have a good grasp on which characters will be coming. I’d like you to also predict how the roster from Fates and Shadow Dragon will be like from here on! Also, this title, which is fully voiced, is filled with love from not only us development staff but also from the voice actors, so please kindly anticipate it!

I just realized... We're going to get butt rock versions of FE themes.

Oh man, that legitimately made me more excited than anything I've seen thus far.

Add in VII and that's exactly what they kind of do.
You don't know what butt rock is.

Excited for the next reveals and inevitable dlc reveals. I hope all the dlc is out by the time I get a switch!

Sure, but we are talking about adding another awakening character to the cast, and of that even the developers admitted to really liking tharja, she even has a trophy in smash 4 that was cut because they weirdly wanted to keep the game rated E

Hyrule Warriors had representation for just 3 Zelda games at launch: Twilight Princess, Ocarina of Time, and Skyward Sword. Note that this game has representation for Shadow Dragon, Fates, and Awakening.

After the DLC, HW now includes characters from Majora’s Mask, Wind Waker, Link’s Awakening, Spirit Tracks, and A Link Between Worlds. I'm 99.9% sure that they'll be doing something similar for FE Warriors. There's no way popular characters like Ike and Roy aren't already being planned as part of a season pass.

HW included big references to the other games a long time we got characters from them, like the moon drop and the Wind Waker as a weapon. In the final game, they even redesigned the Dodongo boss after the first Zelda rather than OoT. FE Warriors so far has only acknowledged the games that are represented by playable characters.

intsys just dmed me and i can confirm that wrys is playable, he uses an axe

save this post quick before they make me delete it!!

Guys the game will be great. There's a lot of content and you are getting a larger amount of characters than the previous Warriors games. They'll announce the SD fighters soon and I'm willing to believe that you'll get some fighters from other games as DLC. Same thing happened with Hyrule Warriors. It'll be fine.

They should start showing the other version though. I understand that they are trying push more sales for the Switch version but we have some people who only have a 3DS.

Wait a minute, her name is Lukina? Holy shit, I've always pronounced it Lu-see-na! Anyways, I'm really hoping for a Japanese voice option. It's not a deal breaker or anything, but the English voice acting from earlier previews was a bit disappointing (especially when compared against the fantastic voice acting from Echoes).

Regardless, I'm beyond hyped for this game. Been replaying Fates recently to refresh my memory on the characters.

I think it had already been announced that the Japanese version is dual audio, though given the gap between the Japanese and western release dates, it's probably not a universal SKU, which would mean that it might not have English text beyond the UI. We don't know anything yet about that situation for the west.

I'm not worried about the char selection, it's going to grow with all the DLC packs for sure.

I'm more worried about the foundation of the game. I want it to be as fun ad HW.

Can't wait to see the new mode in action.

Lukina is her Japanese pronunciation.

Well I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it. If they do offer dual audio I hope it's out of the box and not patched in months later like with BOTW, where I was already finished the game when it released.

Lukina is her Japanese pronunciation.
So it is Lu-see-na in English? That's good to know.

Tiki, Camus, Caeda, Azura, and Tharja are probably the most obvious characters not confirmed that I'd be stunned if they didn't make the cut. If you plan to do a history mode of fe1 then Minerva probably has a solid chance as well.

Might as well try to change the conversation from the usual boring arguments with the same people that occurs on every thread :

Fire-Emblem-Warriors_09-07-17_005.jpg

On this pic from Famitsu, you can see that the weapons are divided in six types : swords, spears, axes, bow, books and stones. Each of them has already two or more characters announced, except for stones, which doesn't have any. Tiki will obviously be one of them, but I wonder if they're going to add a second one too, 'cause they wouldn't create a dedicated type of weapon if it was only for one character.

Nowi ?

Of course it's going to be Nowi, who else would be the second stone user? Though if they went with two Tikis, I'd laugh pretty hard. Actually I want that just for the potential support between Young Tiki and Adult Tiki.

Though if they played around with it, it would be cool if Male Corrin was only a stone user.

Male and Female Robin have different movesets? o_O at least different specials. One uses the Levin sword the other does not. Although I have noticed in some gameplay videos the character may have more than one special move and its random or situational.

Im pretty confident every characters moves will change according to whichever class they are since the type of weapon in warriors games doesn't really matter they could all be sword users and have different movesets/gameplay uses. But I wonder how many options you will have. In Hyrule Warriors Link had the most weapon/move options by a wide margin. The characters on horseback may be able to change class and not have their horse. So im guessing at-least 75 different movesets, every character can change class and some may be able to have more than one other class option.

Maybe Corrin gets the dragonstone as a different weapon/moveset?

I think it was implied characters cannot change weapon types in an interview.

http://nintendoeverything.com/fire-...-lissa-lucina-frederick-robin-talk-much-more/

ND: By the way, can weapon types be changed for each character?

Usuda: No, you cannot change weapon types, so the twins will always wield swords.

(They were specifically talking about the twins, but it sounds like it applies to everyone?)

Huh, that's actually pretty weird, since most DW games and even Hyrule Warriors do let characters use different classes of weapons, and in the game's most characters can use at least a second weapon type.

Yeah, I thought it was strange too... both Warriors series and the FE source allow for characters to use more than one weapon type, so I dunno why they went with this. Allowing characters to have multiple weapon types would have also alleviated some lopsided weapon representation too. (...probably)
